(February 25, 2026. The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
Christians have hope in this life because there is a real heavenly home that lasts forever, and in the future they will enter the eternal kingdom of heaven and enjoy its blessings.
The Lord Jesus once appeared in the world. The purpose of His coming was to take away people’s sins, preach the gospel of the kingdom of heaven, and make the way of salvation known to the world. Even now, God still reveals His will to people through the Bible, so they may understand the way He has prepared for them to turn back to Him. During the time between the Lord’s first coming and His second coming, God uses the gospel to proclaim His message to the world, so that people may know His righteousness and the hope of the heavenly home, then repent and turn back to Him, and walk on the path He has prepared. In this way, a person’s life can be cleansed, become holy, and have fellowship with the holy Lord. Then in the new heaven and new earth, they will dwell with God in His kingdom and enjoy eternal blessings, with no more labor and sorrow, no more sickness, and no more tears.
Because there is hope in the kingdom of heaven, we should set our hearts on becoming children of God, being born of God, and cleansing ourselves. We should separate ourselves from the world, not be friends with evil, not be drawn by wickedness, and not follow our former lusts and worldly thoughts. We should offer ourselves to God and belong to Him alone. Through the Lord Jesus, our life no longer belongs to sinful human nature and the flesh, and no longer belongs to the world. Instead, by trusting in the Lord and holding firmly to the word of life, our life keeps being renewed, and we become determined to live a life that overcomes the world.
When a person begins to hunger for the truth and seek to know God, then they can understand how to walk on the Lord’s path and live on the way of uprightness and righteousness. Because God’s word is kept in the heart, the person becomes sensitive to sin. The truth helps them recognize what is defiled and unclean. Their heart is able to resist sin. They no longer remain used to living in sin, and they can also leave behind the pleasures of sin. They no longer make money, fame, success, and pleasure the goal of life. Instead, they grieve over sin, are willing to repent, value their relationship with God, be reconciled to God, and love drawing near to Him. The direction of their life is no longer centered on pleasing themselves or pleasing others, but on pleasing God. They are willing to be led by the Holy Spirit, obey the Lord’s commandments, and no longer be their own master. They begin to value eternity, understand that the world will one day pass away, and so they no longer treat the things of this world as the pursuit of life. They no longer spend their strength on material things and personal desires, but instead hold tightly to the way that lasts forever and follows the will of God.
Have you become a person born of God?
You should examine yourself to see whether you are following the Lord’s example, and whether the life you are living is becoming more and more like the Lord Jesus.

Chapter 36 Verses 25–27
“Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you,
