(2026.07.16. Comfort from the Holy Spirit)
In times of darkness and when you are in a valley, God does not want you to become discouraged or overwhelmed with fear. If you belong to the Lord, there is never a time when there is no way forward. If you do not yet know God, you should also seek His help. Do not rely on yourself, and do not waste your time dwelling on thoughts that cannot build up your spiritual life but instead cause harm to it. Otherwise, you may sink deeper and deeper, as though falling into a bottomless pit, causing your soul to become sick and making it difficult to come out of the darkness.
Quiet your heart and seek your heavenly Father who created you. He is the Almighty God. From the beginning until now, His purpose for people has always been good. He desires for people to receive what is good for them in the Lord and to be healed and restored. He can heal the human heart. Therefore, do not continue to be bound by the circumstances of the past, by what you have gone through, or by the things you have done.
Suffering can be beneficial to a person. Some people are not yet mature in their spiritual lives, while others have strayed from the right path in the past and wandered far from the way God prepared for them. When you spend your days busy with the things of this world, leaving no room for God in your heart and mind, being influenced and controlled by the world, and not living in the Lord, how can you receive the eternal blessings God gives?
Therefore, God sometimes allows people to go through valleys so that they will stop and slow down. It may seem as though there is no way forward, but God is actually allowing you to become quiet in the darkness so that the eyes of your heart can be opened again. When God’s light shines in the darkness, the things of this world that once distracted you will no longer occupy your heart. You will be able to see the light more clearly and focus on seeking His guidance. God wants to lead you back to the path He has prepared for you.
When a person’s heart is blinded by the devil, it is easy to judge things from one’s own point of view and think that one can see the whole picture, when in fact the truth is still unclear. Only by quietly coming before God and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit can you discern the truth and understand God’s will. Then the burdens in your heart can be laid down, and you can find peace again.
Empty your heart and remove all confused and unclean thoughts. Give the burdens in your heart to God, and let the Holy Spirit fill your heart. Whether or not what you encounter is what you desire, be willing to obey the Lord’s will. Then you can begin to follow in the Lord’s footsteps and climb step by step out of the valley.
The Lord wants to deliver you from evil, guard your steps, and keep you abiding in Him. When your heart trusts in the Lord, you can have peace and rest. Instead of being afraid because of trials and hardships, you can be filled with courage and peace. With the strength the Lord gives you, you can grow stronger and stronger, continue to overcome difficulties, and move forward on the path to eternal life. Then your life will no longer be empty, and you will receive the eternal blessings God gives.

thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
