(2026.05.06. Comfort from the Holy Spirit)
In the beginning, when God created the world, He gave mankind abundant grace. Today, He still gives people an even greater spiritual gift—the gift of eternal life. Through the Lord Jesus Christ, people can freely receive salvation. Since we know that God’s redemption is meant to give us the blessing of eternal life, we should make this precious grace the greatest goal of our lives, hold firmly to it, and never let it go.
After receiving the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven, we should carefully study God’s laws and His ways, understand the way of life and the standard of righteousness required to enter His kingdom, leave behind our former sinful ways, walk steadily on the path before us, keep moving toward the goal, and preserve this grace until we enter God’s eternal kingdom.
Before we knew God, we did not know there is a God who examines every human heart. We only cared about what we wanted and pursued the satisfaction of our own desires, without realizing that we were living in sin. Much of what we thought, said, and did was unclean and displeasing to God, and we lived in corruption and darkness. But if we want to share in God’s holy kingdom, we must live according to His righteousness and understand the importance of holiness. During our time on earth, we should regularly examine ourselves, see where we fall short of God’s righteousness, and make sure we do not leave the right path. If we sin, we should remove the uncleanness from our lives, repent, stop repeating the same mistakes, and never become comfortable with sin. We should gradually put off our old self and receive a new life. Every day, instead of walking with the world, we should draw near to the Lord, walk on the path of holiness, and walk together with Him.
As we begin walking the path of faith, we must first be willing to deny ourselves, put away our old self that lives according to the flesh and is centered on self, and leave behind the sinful habits we picked up from the world. We should throw off every burden of sin, no longer live according to the desires of the flesh, but pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that God’s Spirit will personally lead us. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, we are changed from people who live according to the flesh into spiritual people. Then we will be able to face every spiritual lesson with spiritual understanding, making the journey on the path to God’s kingdom lighter and steadier. When trials come, we can discipline ourselves, stay focused on overcoming sin, complete the lessons God has entrusted to us, and fulfill His will.
The path to God’s kingdom is a journey that lasts our entire lives. It must be walked with faith, wholehearted devotion, and the willingness to give our precious time. Therefore, during these very short years of life, we should not let our lives become empty and meaningless, ending with nothing of eternal value.
God saves people from the power of sin. Through the precious blood of Christ, He washes away our uncleanness and makes us clean. He also gives us the precious Holy Spirit to help us walk the path to His kingdom while we live on earth, guiding us on the path of righteousness until we return to our heavenly home. God has also given us the truth of the Bible so that we may receive heavenly wisdom, understand the commands He wants us to obey, put away all uncleanness, and walk in righteousness. He also allows us to go through trials so that our lives may be refined like gold in the fire. As our impurities are removed and our faith is tested, it becomes stronger and more genuine. Through repentance, renewal, and every kind of spiritual training, we experience cleansing like water, renewal by the Spirit, the light of God’s truth, and the refining of trials. In this way, we become firstfruits offered to God, citizens of His heavenly kingdom, and His royal priests. During the rest of our lives, we should live out the beautiful character of the Lord Jesus, become His witnesses, proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven, and help people everywhere receive the blessing of eternal life.
May you live your whole life in God’s will, and may His grace and lovingkindness remain with you forever.
Scripture
Psalms
Chapter 139 Verses 23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
Isaiah
Chapter 35 Verses 8, 10
And an highway shall be there, and a way,
and it shall be called The way of holiness;
the unclean shall not pass over it;
but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
And the ransomed of the LORD shall return,
and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads:
they shall obtain joy and gladness,
and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Proverbs
Chapter 4 Verses 23-24, 26-27
Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.
Put away from thee a froward mouth,
and perverse lips put far from thee.
Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove thy foot from evil.
Romans
Chapter 8 Verses 1-2, 5-6
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh;
but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death;
but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
