You must know God and understand His true nature. He is the Creator of mankind, and humanity comes from Him. Therefore, you are to live with reverence for God and carefully keep His commandments—this is the responsibility and duty of every person. For everything people do in this life, whether good or evil, God will bring into judgment.

God is the Creator and Lord of all. He exists before all things and is the source of everything; all things exist and stand firm because of Him. He created the universe and everything in it—He is the sovereign Lord of heaven and earth. He created mankind and is the One who gives breath and life. All authority in heaven and on earth is in His hands. Even the devil, whom people fear, can only act under God’s sovereignty—only within what God temporarily allows, and never beyond the boundaries God has set. Whether earthly governments or the powers of the evil one, all operate within limits established by God. The evil one cannot overcome those whom God watches over, nor can he harm those whom God protects, because ultimate authority belongs to God. He is the Beginning and the End, and every establishment and every conclusion rest entirely on His will.

God is perfectly pure and holy, with no trace of sin, completely set apart from all evil. He is a righteous God; everything He does is flawless, and all His ways are fair and upright. His judgments are accurate and true—He rewards good and punishes evil without favoritism and without injustice. He examines every person on earth, across all nations and all generations. Nothing a person does in this life, whether righteous or unrighteous, can be hidden from Him.

God’s salvation is also righteous. The wages of sin is death, and God does not treat the guilty as innocent; no one can redeem themselves. In order to save humanity from death, God provided only one way: Jesus Christ personally bore the punishment for sin. God established a way of atonement for all people, so that through faith, and through the precious blood of Christ, people may be justified—thereby revealing and displaying God’s righteousness.

God is all-knowing and all-powerful. His wisdom is limitless, and His power surpasses all things. He fully knows everything that has happened, is happening now, and will happen in the future. God knows every person’s thoughts and intentions; every motive of the heart and all hidden things are laid bare before Him. He is everywhere at all times, unrestricted by space or time, filling heaven and earth and present throughout all creation. From a person’s birth until their death, God’s eyes are everywhere. He watches the paths people take, guides the righteous in the way they should go, and judges the wicked with justice.

God is good by nature—He is loving and merciful. His love never changes, and He never abandons those who belong to Him. He shows mercy to those who fear Him, reaches out to those who call upon Him, and shows compassion and forgiveness to sinners who are willing to repent. He tenderly cares for His people with steadfast love. He is faithful, and His promises never change. He keeps His covenant with those who love Him, keep His commandments, live set apart, and are willing to follow Him to the end. He delivers His people from death and carries out, in the lives of His children, the salvation plan He has determined—bringing it to fulfillment from generation to generation.

Scripture

Jeremiah

Chapter 23 Verses 23–24

“Am I a God at hand, declares the LORD, and not a God far away?

Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the LORD.

Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the LORD.”

Isaiah

Chapter 46 Verses 9–10

“Remember the former things of old;

for I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and there is none like me,

declaring the end from the beginning

and from ancient times things not yet done,

saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,

and I will accomplish all my purpose.’”

Colossians

Chapter 1 Verses 13–17

“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness

and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,

in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

He is the image of the invisible God,

the firstborn of all creation.

For by him all things were created,

in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,

whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—

all things were created through him and for him.

And he is before all things,

and in him all things hold together.”

Romans 3:25-26

 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.  It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Deuteronomy 7:9

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,
