(2025.12.11 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
When you truly understand whom you believe in—the God who rules over all things, who is righteous, holy, all-knowing, and almighty—you can rest secure and follow the Lord wholeheartedly, without doubt, to the very end. For you know that His ways are good, and that His will is for people to receive eternal life. Therefore, do not waste your time anymore, but make your life meaningful and worthwhile.
Through the salvation of the Lord Jesus, a person is turned from a life of death into a life that truly lives; from a defiled and sinful life into a holy and glorious life; from a short, empty, earthly life into an eternal life. In this way, you become someone who pleases God, a citizen of God’s kingdom—one with a noble identity, a person who overcomes the world.
Follow the Lord with a pure heart and devote yourself to learning, in order to gain spiritual wisdom. Let the Holy Spirit lead you as you read the Scriptures, for the Scriptures are inspired by God. God’s word gives wisdom—the wisdom that leads to salvation. It teaches you the truth and helps you understand God’s ways and His will. The Scriptures are like light that shines into the human heart, exposing hidden sins and leading people to repent of their errors. They are like a mirror, showing a person their uncleanness and revealing where they are unlike the Lord Jesus. The Scriptures correct those who have gone astray and guide them back to the right path—the path that leads to the eternal kingdom of heaven. They train people in righteousness, shaping and transforming them according to God’s righteous standards, delivering them from their former shameful, defiled, and God-dishonoring life, and leading them into a Christian life that aligns with God’s heart and brings glory to His name. In this way, you are able to live a godly life, becoming holy and vessels fit for God’s use, able to do what God considers good, beneficial, and valuable.
So that those who are called by the holy calling may move from justification into glory; becoming people who are faithful to the Lord, living out the truth, and walking according to God’s truth, making His word the standard of daily life. They become people whom God can trust, able to bear the work He entrusts to them and to complete what He has assigned. They become stewards of the mysteries, holding fast to the truth, preaching the truth, proclaiming the gospel that brings salvation, leading people to turn to the truth, shepherding the flock, living out a genuine faith and a life of true value—walking in every way on the righteous path that pleases God, living out the likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ, and giving glory to God.
Be united with the Lord and closely joined to Him, becoming a precious vessel fit for God’s use. Put off everything that is base, that dishonors the Lord’s name, and that brings shame. Continually build yourself up in the truth, learning the truths of Scripture, so that you may gain spiritual wisdom and understand God’s will, and have the ability to do spiritual work well. Be diligent to present yourself before God as a worker who has been tested and approved, with no cause for shame. Run earnestly on the road of the kingdom of heaven, so that you may be strengthened by the sure hope of the heavenly kingdom, and so that others may be blessed through you. Then I will add joy and satisfaction to you day by day, so that in all things you will be more than victorious.
Scripture
Romans
Chapter 8 Verses 28–30
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son,
that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called:
and whom he called, them he also justified:
and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
2 Timothy
Chapter 3 Verses 15–17
“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures,
which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect,
throughly furnished unto all good works.”
2 Timothy
Chapter 2 Verses 20–21
“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver,
but also of wood and of earth;
and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
If a man therefore purge himself from these,
he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use,
and prepared unto every good work.”
