There is a right path that you must choose.

This is a path that leads to eternal life, and it concerns the eternal destination of your soul.

This is a path of blessing, a blessing that God has promised to give to all people.

However, this blessing is different from the blessings of this world.

Worldly blessings, no matter how much people try to pursue and seize them, can only be enjoyed for a short time and cannot continue or last forever.

But the blessing that God gives is eternal.

After the brief days of life in this world come to an end, a person must face the eternal destination he or she has chosen.

This right path leads to the heavenly kingdom of eternal life.

The path that leads to eternal life is difficult, the gate is narrow, and those who find it are few.

This is because this path requires paying a price.

It requires repentance, denying oneself, taking up one’s own cross, putting off the old self that belongs to the world, removing unrighteousness, and continually correcting oneself.

It requires allowing one’s life to be cleansed and to become holy.

It also requires holding firmly to the truth and holding firmly to faith in order to enter that holy kingdom.

This is a path of obedience to the Lord, a willingness to let the Lord lead, and a life that follows God’s commandments and His will.

However, there is another path, a wide gate and a broad road.

This path is easy, and many people enjoy walking on it.

Although they have been called by grace and believe in the Lord, they do not pursue the truth.

They are unwilling to learn the Lord’s commandments and unwilling to repent, and so they continue to carry sin.

They are unwilling to leave behind personal desires and old sinful habits.

Their hearts still hold idols, and they love the world’s fame, profit, and wealth.

They live centered on themselves, unwilling to deny themselves and follow the Lord Jesus.

They are unwilling to live a life set apart, and their hearts remain filled with the world, choosing only to enjoy worldly days.

One path leads to life and blessing; the other leads to death and calamity.

No matter which path you choose, you must face the consequences brought by that choice.

If you want to choose the path that leads to eternal life, you must make that choice during the days you are living in this present life.

For this reason, you must set your goal and also firmly set your heart.

You must strive and run diligently on the path toward the heavenly kingdom in this life, so that you may reach the end, prepare yourself for the eternal life God has promised, and be ready to receive the heavenly reward in the future.

However, if you continue to choose the path of the world and use your precious time in this life to keep grasping things that will perish, you must understand this:

Even if you occasionally taste short-lived sweetness, if you still do not turn back and choose the right path, then you may simply enjoy what you have gained in this life.

Because in this life you have already received comfort, satisfaction, and reliance from the world, the eternal blessings of the heavenly kingdom will have no share with you.

May you receive wisdom from above, so that in every decision you can make choices that align with God’s will and truly benefit your life.

This value is not the value defined by the world, but the value that comes from God and is pleasing to Him.

Why do you live in this life?

What you sow for yourself now, you will one day see the result according to what you have sown.

Scripture

Deuteronomy

Chapter 30 Verses 15–18

“See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.”

Matthew

Chapter 7 Verses 13–14, 21

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

Luke

Chapter 16 Verses 19–26

“There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.”
