(2026.04.10. The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
Do not become one who drinks the wine of God’s great wrath; because the punishment of God’s anger is something no human can bear, yet it must be borne. Each person will pay for what they have done. Whatever a person sows in this life, that is what they will reap in the future. God will judge every person in righteousness. Each one will receive what their deeds deserve.
If a person spends this life chasing the world, loving the world, worshiping idols, following Satan, indulging in the pleasures of sin, refusing to remove sin, and refusing to repent; if they do not pursue the truth, but instead listen to false and deceptive teachings, causing themselves to stray from the right path and walk on the road that does not lead to salvation, such people have no share in eternal life. But if a person follows the Lord Jesus, obeys His commandments, and keeps their white garment holy, that person will receive everlasting joy.
Many people think they have suffered greatly in this life and feel that their suffering is hard to endure. But you must understand that if a person cannot be saved and enter eternal life, the punishment they will face in the future will be far beyond any suffering experienced in this world. The suffering in this life is only temporary, but the punishment to come is eternal—amid fire and sulfur, day and night without end, with no rest, continually enduring pain.
Those who already believe in the Lord must not abandon the salvation God has given them, no matter what happens or what trials they face in this life. Those who have not yet believed should understand that when the body returns to dust, that is not the end, but the beginning of entering another destination and facing an eternal outcome.
Do not envy those who seem rich in this life, those who possess wealth, fame, and status, and appear to be enjoying themselves. What they hold in their hands is only temporary pleasure. Without realizing it, they drink the corrupt and immoral wine of this world, sink into sin, and store up God’s righteous wrath for themselves. If they do not repent, they will one day suffer eternal pain.
For they walk in immorality, listen to Satan, accept the world’s values and sins, submit themselves to the power of the evil one, and chase after glory, fame, wealth, and pleasure. God has given the Bible to the people of this world so that they may have the opportunity to receive eternal life. But people only value the world and do not love the truth. They waste their limited time chasing the world and worshiping idols. Satan creates false things, causing people to delight in sin and treat falsehood as truth. People willingly accept the temptations he sets before them and sink deeper into sin. In the end, everyone must face God’s judgment. God’s judgment is perfectly righteous and upright, adding nothing and taking nothing away. Each person will be repaid according to what they have done. Whatever a person sows in this life, that is what they will reap in the future. If they sow righteousness in this life, they will receive the eternal life God has promised. If they sow unrighteousness, they will receive eternal punishment.
While there is still time, while God is still showing mercy, repent of your sins and pursue God’s righteousness. Do not become accustomed to living in sin, and do not let your heart continue to love and chase after the world.
When the time appointed by God arrives, when the day is fulfilled, judgment will come. That will be the time of harvest. With one swing of the sickle, it will happen swiftly without delay. At that point, there will be no more time and no more opportunity to repent.
While today still remains, turn back to God and change the direction of your wandering steps. Otherwise, on the great day of judgment, you may be thrown into the winepress of God’s wrath. Be watchful. Think carefully about your eternal end.
Scripture
Isaiah 55:6-7
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found,
call ye upon him while he is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts:
and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him;
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God, and keep his commandments:
for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment,
with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Matthew 13:37-42
He answered and said unto them,
He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
The field is the world;
the good seed are the children of the kingdom;
but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
The enemy that sowed them is the devil;
the harvest is the end of the world;
and the reapers are the angels.
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire;
so shall it be in the end of this world.
The Son of man shall send forth his angels,
and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire:
there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Daniel 12:1-2
And at that time shall Michael stand up,
the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people:
and there shall be a time of trouble,
such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time:
and at that time thy people shall be delivered,
every one that shall be found written in the book.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
some to everlasting life,
and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Revelation 14:19-20
And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth,
and gathered the vine of the earth,
and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
And the winepress was trodden without the city,
and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles,
by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
