(2025.09.22 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)

In this world you will have troubles, but do not lose heart, do not be afraid—have faith. Those who die with the Lord will surely rise again with Him. Whoever endures trials will receive the crown of life.

Put your old sinful self on the cross so that sin no longer rules over you and you are freed from its power.

No longer remain like the old self—naked, ashamed, not knowing God, and without righteousness in the heart.

Instead, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, rely on the Lord’s strength, go through every kind of trial, and overcome. Then, in your days on earth, you will live out a new life, bear the fruit of righteousness, become blameless and without fault, clothed in holy white garments in spirit, and be children who bring glory to the Lord’s name.

When you suffer for righteousness or are persecuted for your faith, do not lose courage or fall into despair. The suffering you go through is only temporary and will soon pass away.

Lay down all your burdens and entrust them to Me. By patiently waiting and overcoming trials, you will bear the fruit of the Spirit.

Even when the body gradually decays, you have no need to fear. The body is but a tent, a temporary dwelling for the soul, given so that within your short time on earth you may complete the work of salvation. So treasure the time, set your mind and focus on what is unseen yet eternal—whether your soul will be saved and enter the kingdom of eternal life.

Therefore, rely on the Lord and bravely take up your cross to walk the path of the kingdom. For the sake of the glory to come, you will enter the eternal kingdom, receive the crown of life, and inherit the everlasting inheritance.

Scripture

James

Chapter 1 Verse 12

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial,

for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life,

which God has promised to those who love him.”

Luke

Chapter 8 Verse 13

“And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy.

But these have no root; they believe for a while,

and in time of testing fall away.”

James

Chapter 1 Verses 2-4

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,

for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

And let steadfastness have its full effect,

that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

2 Corinthians

Chapter 4 Verses 16-18

“So we do not lose heart.

Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us

an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,

as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen.

For the things that are seen are transient,

but the things that are unseen are eternal.”

Psalms

Chapter 139 Verses 23-24

“Search me, O God, and know my heart!

Try me and know my thoughts!

And see if there be any grievous way in me,

and lead me in the way everlasting!”
