The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit (2025.09.19)
Those who are called by grace must live worthy of the identity of being God’s people—holy, fragrant, and bearing the likeness of the Lord Jesus. Show gentleness and humility, obedience, mercy, love, and righteousness, and walk in the way of integrity.
In this world, when you experience trials, be willing to submit and be taught by the truth, so that your life may be refined into something beautiful, radiant, and renewed—a new life. Through your life, you will be able to influence the lives of others.
In trials, do not rely on yourself. You must depend on God and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Human wisdom and strength are limited, but God is unlimited. Seek His help, fix your eyes on Me, and keep your heart focused on Me. My Word (the Bible) is the lamp to your feet and the light on your path. Rely wholeheartedly on the Lord, and He will be with you. Then you will receive strength—though you may feel weak at times, you will always rise again in the Lord’s power. Keep experiencing the life of God’s presence, and your faith will grow stronger. Practice the truth and righteousness, and you will gain a single-hearted devotion to follow the Lord.
The trials and the journey of your life are precious, for they become the testimony of your life. Preaching the gospel is not only by words, but by being a living letter of the gospel. Let others see the glory in your life, so that they may believe in the God who loves the world, who gives eternal life. In Him, you will find peace and joy on earth, the hope of heaven, and the promise of eternal blessing in the age to come.
So serve God with this resolve: let the Holy Spirit dwell in your heart, submit to His leading, depend on the Lord, and become a faithful servant.
Scripture
2 Corinthians
Chapter 3 Verses 1–6
“Are we beginning to commend ourselves again?
Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you?
You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all.
And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God,
not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God.
Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us,
but our sufficiency is from God,
who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit.
For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”
Isaiah
Chapter 40 Verses 28–29
“Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.”
Psalm
Chapter 123 Verses 1–2
“To you I lift up my eyes,
O you who are enthroned in the heavens!
Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he has mercy upon us.”
Hebrews
Chapter 12 Verse 2
“Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
