(2025.09.12 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
You must love others as yourself. Desire the beauty of your spiritual life, and long to become holy and complete. Keep working to build up your own spirit, for this benefits you.
But also desire to do what benefits others. Long to be moved by the Holy Spirit so you can speak words that build up, so that everyone may be spiritually strengthened and taught by the truth. Use the teachings of Scripture to encourage others—so the weak may become strong, those still wandering may turn back, and those in need of comfort may be lifted up, no longer lost, but renewed in strength and able to see the light of the Lord even in hardship.
Therefore, if you long to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to speak words inspired by Him, you must set your heart firmly to follow Me, to seek spiritual wisdom, to pursue the truth, and to walk the path of righteousness.
In your mind do not remain as children. Become familiar with the way of righteousness, grow in understanding of the truth, remove what is unjust, devote yourself fully to serve the Lord, and live to please Him.
Then you will no longer be like immature children—weak, bullied by the devil, not knowing which way to walk, and lured into destruction.
Instead, in evil you must be as infants, willing to be held in the arms, only drinking the pure spiritual milk to grow, cutting off ties with the evil world, with a simple and clean heart, walking on the straight path.
In matters that truly benefit others, if you have the heart to do them, you must strive forward in the truth and pray for heavenly wisdom, walking with Me. The Holy Spirit will move you even more, guiding you in what you should do, giving you words of truth that build up, encourage, and comfort others. In this way, the flock in My house (the church) will grow day by day, the sick will be healed, and the weak will be made strong.
Scripture
1 Corinthians
Chapter 14 Verses 1, 3-4, 19, 39
“Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts,
especially that you may prophesy.
On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people
for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.
The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself,
but the one who prophesies builds up the church.
Nevertheless, in church I would rather speak five words with my mind
in order to instruct others,
than ten thousand words in a tongue.
So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy,
and do not forbid speaking in tongues.”
1 Corinthians
Chapter 14 Verse 20
“Brothers, do not be children in your thinking.
Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.”
2 Corinthians
Chapter 11 Verse 3
“But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning,
your thoughts will be led astray
from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.”
1 Peter
Chapter 2 Verses 1-2
“So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy
and envy and all slander.
Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk,
that by it you may grow up into salvation.”
Proverbs
Chapter 23 Verse 23
“Buy truth, and do not sell it;
buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding.”
