(2026.06.17. Comfort from the Holy Spirit)
Guard your heart carefully. Do not become greedy for the things of this world or curious about them, and do not put yourself in situations where you may fall into temptation, because people are weak by nature. If you are not watchful, you can easily be tempted. The devil knows what people desire and what their hearts long for. He uses the things people desire as bait to lure them into the traps he has set.
He continually uses all kinds of ways to deceive people, trying to draw them away from God and lead them toward destruction. He uses the people and things they love and pursue to capture their hearts, filling them with worldly concerns and all kinds of greed. He causes people to become controlled and bound by the burden of sin, making it difficult for them to break free. He also causes them to forget the God who created them. Instead of worshiping the Creator, they worship the idols in their hearts. They spend their limited time on empty things and neglect the growth of their spiritual lives. They do not pursue holiness according to God’s commands, nor do they prepare themselves to inherit the kingdom of heaven and enter their eternal heavenly home. During their time on earth, they miss the opportunity to draw near to God and enjoy the blessing of His presence. In the end, they waste their lives and squander the precious time God has given them.
Therefore, you must be careful about what you think in your heart and what you do with your hands. If you take one wrong step and fall into the devil’s scheme, you may sink deeper and deeper. If you do not turn back to God in time, you may gradually become numb to sin and stray from the path of truth without even realizing it.
Therefore, with every choice you make and every situation you face, come before God in prayer and seek His will and guidance. Ask God to have mercy on you, give you wisdom, and guide you on the path you should take. Before you act, measure your choices according to God’s righteous standards. Consider whether your decision is in line with the truth, whether it will affect your faith, reduce the time you spend drawing near to God, weaken your faith, keep you from glorifying God and building others up, or cause you or others to fall into sin.
Do not turn away from the Lord’s teachings, because the path He leads us on is meant to bring us out of sin and back to the eternal heavenly home God has prepared for us. The Lord Jesus gave His life for the world and paid the price for our sins so that He could redeem us from sin, deliver us from corruption, and restore to us the glorious and honorable life God originally gave mankind—a life reconciled with God. He does not want anyone to perish. He wants people to turn away from sin, return to Him, and inherit the eternal blessings God has promised.
Since you understand God’s will and know His love for the world, you should keep your eyes on Him throughout this life, hold firmly to your faith, and follow Him to the end. During your days on earth, patiently run the path that lies ahead. Rely on God and stand firm in the unseen spiritual battle. Guard your heart, hold firmly to the truth, and do not allow your spiritual life to fall into corruption, until the day you see the Lord face to face.
