(2026.06.09. Comfort from the Holy Spirit)
Once you begin the journey of faith and follow the Lord Jesus, you should make up your mind to walk this path to the end. As long as you have breath, you should always take this seriously. For we do not live only for this life; we should also prepare ourselves for eternal life. Our lives must continue to change and be renewed, from being people who were once dead in sins and transgressions to becoming people who have received life in the Lord, preparing ourselves to enter the eternal kingdom of heaven one day.
Therefore, guard your heart and continue to cleanse yourself with the truth of the Bible and the teachings of the Lord Jesus, remaining holy. Stay away from every kind of evil that keeps you from bearing the fruit of righteousness or prevents you from entering eternal life. Examine yourself often to see whether there is still any part of your old self that you have not put away, or whether worldly desires still remain in you. Greed, selfishness, pride, jealousy, deceit, lying, strife, hatred, bitterness, and every kind of impurity and corruption that came from being tempted by the devil in the past must all be removed.
Do not become careless as you walk the path to the kingdom of heaven. Draw near to God often and love the truth. Think also about those throughout the generations who feared God and those who faithfully followed the Lord—how they were blessed by God, how they received His care and protection, and how they walked in ways that pleased Him. They feared God, honored Him above all, made Him the center of their lives, valued His righteousness, and were willing to obey the Lord’s will.
Therefore, on the journey of faith, do not stop moving forward, and do not turn back. Since you have already believed in the Lord and your soul belongs to Him, you must not live in darkness as those who do not know God do. Do not refuse to keep God’s commandments, live in unrighteousness, allow your mind to remain darkened, refuse to face your own sins, or live without being watchful. Do not love unrighteousness, give in to sinful desires, give yourself over to sin, or corrupt yourself through greed and every kind of evil.
Let your heart be filled with the word of God, for His word can encourage your heart, cleanse you, and help you stay away from all unrighteousness. It can also give you the strength to continue on the path to the kingdom of heaven. When a person’s heart is filled with God’s word, the devil has fewer opportunities to attack, deceive, and destroy that person’s spiritual life.
Every day, receive the Lord’s word and have fellowship with Him, allowing the truth to guide us on the path of righteousness. Every day, ask the Lord to give us the light of His grace to shine upon our hearts, so that when we are weary, tired, and weak, we may receive strength again. Every day, enjoy the Lord’s love so that our hearts may be satisfied, so that we may love Him even more, and so that our faithfulness and faith in the Lord may remain firm and unwavering.
Scripture
Hebrews
Chapter 10 Verses 35-39
“Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”
1 Peter
Chapter 1 Verses 13-16
“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
Philippians
Chapter 3 Verses 13-14
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Psalms
Chapter 119 Verses 9-12
“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.”
