God is the God who gives blessings. If a person wants to receive true blessings, he should meditate on God’s word day and night and understand how to receive eternal and beautiful blessings from God. A person should deny himself, no longer live according to his own desires in pursuing the short days of this world, but turn instead to pursue eternal life, praying to receive blessings that will never fail. He should carefully keep and follow God’s commandments, turn away from evil ways, and not walk on the road that has no hope and in the end brings the soul to destruction. During his days on earth, he should walk on the path God has prepared for people, the path that leads to eternal life, become a beloved child of God, and be blessed.

People in the world think they are walking on a broad and prosperous road, but in fact they are foolish. They do not know that the days brought by this road are extremely short and will soon pass away. When all of this comes to an end, what waits ahead is judgment and eternal punishment. But the road walked by those who love the Lord is the right path that leads to life. It not only brings God’s mercy and care in this life, but also leads people into eternal blessings. Wise people choose to walk in the good way and receive the blessings God gives that can last forever. They become those who obey the Lord and keep the commandments of the Lord Jesus. In this life they are loved by God and receive the grace He gives. Their spiritual life is built up, and in the future they will inherit the inheritance the Lord has prepared for people.

The true fullness of life is found in enjoying the blessings that come from God in the Lord. So do not envy others for having power, wealth, and status. There is no need to focus on how to make yourself rich in material things. Instead, think about how to receive abundant grace in the Lord. Do not let your heart crave the world, for fear that the thoughts and desires of a person may go beyond what he should have. Just be content, and care even more about whether God is with you, and whether you have received His mercy and lovingkindness.

If a person relies on his own plans to build his life, he cannot gain eternal success. If a person departs from the teaching of Christ, his life still remains dead in sin. A person may stay busy in this world making money and chasing after worldly things, yet his life is not connected to the Lord. When life comes to an end, it flies away, and a person’s whole life becomes empty.

A person should turn his thoughts toward heaven, commit what he needs to do into God’s hands, and live within God’s plan of salvation and His will. He should learn the way of life and let God’s word enter into his heart. In the Lord he should bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit and store up treasures in heaven. In this way, his path will be made firm, and he will be able to have a truly successful life.

Scripture

Psalm
Chapter 1 Verses 1-3
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord;
and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

Proverbs
Chapter 14 Verses 11-14
“The house of the wicked shall be overthrown:
but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man,
but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful;
and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways:
and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.”

1 Timothy
Chapter 6 Verses 6-11
“But godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought nothing into this world,
and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare,
and into many foolish and hurtful lusts,
which drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is the root of all evil:
which while some coveted after,
they have erred from the faith,
and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
But thou, O man of God, flee these things;
and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.”

Psalm
Chapter 37 Verses 3-5
“Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land,
and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him;
and he shall bring it to pass.”
