(2024.10.21 Prayer – Receiving the Lord’s Words)
I am the God who created you, and our relationship was originally that of Father and son;
I am your heavenly Father, your spiritual Father, and this relationship is more intimate than that of an earthly father and son;
I know your thoughts and intentions, and I am aware of everything you do, whether in darkness or light;
You must value our relationship; it must not be severed. If you cast it aside, you will become pitiful and helpless, unable to receive my mercy.
It will be as if you do not know me, and I do not know you. We will be strangers, with no connection at all.
If we have no relationship, then who is the father of your spirit? Who will guide your path ahead? You should be filled with fear and dread, as your life will have no hope, just like a lone ship battered by waves, broken and tossed in the raging currents.
You will be wounded all over, drinking only bitter water, never tasting sweetness. Darkness will become your everyday life, and you will find no mercy.
Who can help you escape the darkness? Who can save you from the storm? To whom will your cries for help be answered?
Human life is exceedingly brief, and the existence of the body is temporary, but you do not understand that after physical life ends, the real beginning takes place.
Pitiable and foolish are those who focus on the visible, material world, and prioritize the flesh, thinking that life ends when this one does, believing there will be no further suffering. But you are unaware that the spirit still endures, and if you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven, the suffering you will face in the future will be far worse than anything you endure now. The hardship you face now is nothing in comparison.
Therefore, strive to enter the narrow gate, for the kingdom of eternal life is gained by few, and one must fight to enter it.
What should you pray for?
It is better to pray for sight, so that the eyes the devil has blinded may be opened to see spiritual matters and discern good from evil, so you will no longer be my enemy.
It is better to pray for wisdom, so that you will know you have hope, and that you are to receive the imperishable inheritance of the heavenly kingdom, and be able to enter the land of glory, which is my kingdom, the holy realm.
It is better to pray for faith, to believe in the one true God, who is the creator of all things; to believe in my promises, so that you may be saved, have peace and joy in this world, escape the eternal punishment, and enter the kingdom of everlasting happiness.
It is better to pray for strength, that no matter what the day may bring, you do not rely on your own ability or on others, but rely on me alone. Then I will give you strength, renew your power, and enable you to persevere to the end, overcoming the world and ultimately receiving the crown of glory.
It is better to say to me, “I am willing to be like you; I am your child, and I belong to you.”
What should you do?
Rebuild the relationship with me, restore our Father-son relationship, so that my mercy and love will come upon you. You must be willing, sincerely confess and repent.
Seek the truth, understand the truth, no longer be bound by sin, and turn away from evil. Those whose faith is wavering or who do not believe can become strong again.
Follow me closely, walk the right path that leads to the kingdom of heaven, the path of righteousness.
Strive to be holy, without sin, pure and blameless, wearing robes of light and white in spirit.
Scripture
Hebrews chapter 4, verses 12 to 14
“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.”
Psalm chapter 52, verses 3, 5 to 8
“You love evil more than good, and lying more than speaking what is right. … But God will break you down forever; he will snatch and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. The righteous shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him, saying, ‘See the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and sought refuge in his own destruction!’ But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever.”
Colossians chapter 3, verses 1 to 6
“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming.”
Romans chapter 6, verses 4, 6 to 7, 12
“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. … We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. … Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions.”
John chapter 17, verses 14 to 17
“I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”
John chapter 8, verses 31 to 32
“So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, ‘If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’”
Ephesians chapter 4, verses 21 to 24
“assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Colossians chapter 3, verses 10 to 11
“and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.”
Romans chapter 6, verses 22 to 23
“But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Ecclesiastes chapter 9, verse 8
“Let your garments be always white. Let not oil be lacking on your head.”
Daniel chapter 12, verse 10
“Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.”
2 Corinthians chapter 13, verses 4 to 5
“For he was crucified in weakness, but lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but in dealing with you we will live with him by the power of God. Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!”
John chapter 3, verse 16, 19 to 21
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. … And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”
Philippians chapter 2, verses 14 to 16
“Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.”
Matthew chapter 7, verse 21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
Psalm chapter 73, verses 24 to 28
“You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. For behold, those who are far from you shall perish; you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you. But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.”
