(2025.12.29 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
When you see from Scripture the path of failure that the ancestors walked, do not follow it.
When you see the evil of the present age, do not let it stain you.
Do not learn injustice from those who refuse to obey.
Anything that provokes God’s anger, stay far away from it.
The teachings in Scripture were left for all people as an expression of God’s mercy and love.
They are words of reminder and warning to His chosen people, so that believers will not take crooked paths or repeat past failures.
They are meant to lead people into the richness of God’s grace, to enjoy rest in the Lord day by day.
When the Lord is with us, we gain strength; and with strength, we are able to keep moving forward.
The path of faith is not hard to walk.
As long as you truly follow Jesus Christ and allow Him to lead the way, He will direct your life onto the right path.
In your days on this earth, do not rely on yourself or insist on walking the road you personally choose,
because the dangers of this world and what you will encounter are things you do not know.
Along the journey of faith, learn to fear God and obey His commandments.
Continually pray that the Lord will add to your faith and strength.
Because we are saved through Jesus Christ, let our hearts continually offer thanks to God.
And because God loves us and sees our lives as deeply precious, we should love the Lord even more and treasure the life He has given us.
Entrust yourself fully to God.
Rely on the all-knowing, almighty God who rules over all things to lead you each day.
The Lord will surely guide us into His rich and glorious kingdom.
By following Jesus Christ and not taking crooked paths, we can enter days that are abundant, peaceful, and secure.
We will not be like the ancestors who wandered in the wilderness for forty years because of rebellion and disobedience—
suffering along the way to the Promised Land, repeatedly falling into sin, unable to gain true peace,
enduring hardship in unrighteousness, and in the end dying in the wilderness because of long-term unrepentance, unable to enter the land God had promised.
Do not wander any longer.
The Lord is your secure harbor.
Find your joy in Him.
Only by wholeheartedly relying on God, submitting to the path He has arranged, and walking according to His will—
finishing what the Lord has entrusted you to do—
can you endure the trials of the journey, which will not last too long.
If you hold on with patience and keep your faith from wavering, you will reach the land of abundance.
For what we hope for and seek to receive is an inheritance that does not perish, one that lasts forever in the heavenly kingdom.
May you wholeheartedly rely on Jesus Christ,
so that the path of faith may be walked with greater steadiness and security.
Scripture
Proverbs
Chapter 3 Verses 5–8
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes:
fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel,
and marrow to thy bones.
Psalms
Chapter 37 Verses 1–5
Fret not thyself because of evildoers,
neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
and wither as the green herb.
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord;
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Hebrews
Chapter 12 Verses 1–4
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us,
and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself,
lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
