God is love. I will dwell in you, and you will dwell in me. Love never stops, whether now or in the future.

Love covers many sins. You must learn to love, to love others as yourself, and to love one another earnestly so that love may be made complete.

Love will make you patient and kind. Love is not jealous, does not boast, and is not proud. Love does not act in ways unworthy of a Christian, nor is it self-centered, but seeks the good of others. Love is not easily provoked, but cares about the feelings of others, keeping you away from quarrels, anger, and hatred. If someone offends you, do not keep it in your heart, and you will not stumble.

If someone does wrong, takes the wrong path, or disagrees with you, and even offends you and is disciplined, do not rejoice in that, because it is not righteous. Instead, rejoice when you and others walk in the truth together.

May you accept your enemies, and those who offend you. May you bear with all things, because love covers sin. Do not let anger grow into hatred, and do not despise others because of their weakness.

May you believe—believe in God’s faithfulness, His promises, and His power. Believe that in everything that happens, I have a good purpose.

May you hold fast to the hope of heaven. Though you do not yet see it, if you remain in the faith, one day you will see it with your own eyes.

May you endure to the end. Whatever happens, do not lose heart. On the path of faith, do not grow weary. Follow me, take up your cross, and for the sake of holiness and perfection, endure the trials to the end so that you may receive my promise.

You must let your spiritual life grow into maturity, no longer childish. Learn what love truly is, and let it be lived out in your life. When you were a child, you only loved what you loved, spoke like a child without considering others, had a selfish heart, and thought like a child without truth or spiritual wisdom. But your spirit must grow, pressing forward to maturity.

Faith, hope, and love remain even now. But the greatest of these is love. By faith, you can come before me. By hope, you walk the road to the kingdom. And by love, you dwell in me and I in you. Love makes you complete, holy, and without fear to stand before the judgment seat—because you are destined to receive eternal blessings.

Scripture

1 Peter

Chapter 4 Verses 7-8

“The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.”

1 John

Chapter 4 Verses 16-19

“So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.

God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.

For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

We love because he first loved us.”

1 Corinthians

Chapter 13 Verse 11

“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.

When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.”

1 Corinthians

Chapter 13 Verses 4-8

“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.

It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;

it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends.”
