(Prayer to receive the Lord’s word on August 22, 2025)

You must choose the path of godliness, living each day in reverence to God and turning away from evil. This will bring you peace in this life and eternal life in the future.

Those who do evil and speak lies will become more corrupt in their ways. They lead others into sin and are themselves deceived by the evil one. Do not follow their example. Instead, hold firmly to the truth you have believed—the teachings of the Bible—that lead to eternal life.

I hate sin. Do not waste the remaining days of your life in suffering under discipline. Strive to break free from sin and have no fellowship with evil. Resist the devil with all your strength, guard your heart with the truth, and walk the path of righteousness. Then the devil will flee from you.

Therefore, be watchful and careful in how you live. Let your heart follow the truth. Wherever there is righteousness and truth, acknowledge it and follow it. The truth will guide you on the right path. If you do not do things that go against My teachings, you will not stray from the right way. You will not waste the time that could have been filled with blessings, but instead you will continue walking on the blessed road, the smooth path that leads to eternal life.

Those who have already received My grace of redemption, as well as those who have not yet heard the gospel, must come to know Me—truly know Me. They must understand what I hate and what I delight in, so they can walk in the path of truth and live blessed days.

Pursue the truth with all your effort. Know Me, live according to the truth, and do what is right and just.

Your spiritual life must grow to maturity. Do not remain like immature children who do not understand the truth, for such children are easily tricked by the devil, easily fall into his traps, and are easily deceived into sinning against Me.

I would rather you be wise in doing good, and simple, even naïve, when it comes to evil.

Draw near to Me often through prayer and devotion. Listen to My teachings, and let the truth strengthen your faith.

As you grow in Me, you will become skilled in the way of righteousness, reaching holiness and perfection, and working out your salvation.

Be ready to do every good work, to do what I consider valuable, to do what pleases Me, and to glorify My name.

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief,

and then the heavens will pass away with a roar,

and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved,

and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,”

Chapter 3 Verses 12-17

“Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings,

which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Chapter 5 Verses 12-14

“For though by this time you ought to be teachers,

for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.”

How do I pray?(the right prayer)

Kneel with humility

Close your eyes to concentrate.

The first sentence should begin by saying, “In the name of the  Lord Jesus  I pray.”

Then

Praise the Lord by saying, “Hallelujah!”

Spend time to speak with God from your heart and ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit.

Conclude your prayer with, “Amen.”
