(2025.4.9 Pray and receive the Lord’s words)

What does the human heart plan and pursue? Is it power, worldly glory, and abundant wealth? People trade across the world, seeking profit. They believe they’re chasing something worthwhile, but they don’t realize they’re storing up My wrath—because they’ve forgotten the God who created them and have not sought My will.

Look at how the world is changing—the earth shakes violently, fires consume the land, turning green fields into barren wastelands. Mountains crumble, rocks split apart, homes collapse. The original beauty is no more. Can any of it still be called beautiful?

Look at the former glory of the world. It was built from the desires in people’s hearts, built with the help of the devil, in alliance with him. They toiled day and night, with greedy and unsatisfied hearts. They imitated the ways of the devil—exalting themselves, doing deceitful things, and committing evil in My eyes.

This world is filled with wickedness. There is no peace. In a world ruled by the devil, peace cannot exist. All evil will be destroyed. If your heart still chases after the world’s values, it will all end in emptiness—and cost you your very life.

Look back—what was the world like before? What has it gone through?

Take a good look—does what you once poured your effort into still remain in your hands?

If something has been lost, it is a reminder—to turn your thoughts back to Me and walk the right path.

Ask yourself: What in your life is truly valuable? What can never be taken from you?

The food and drink we earn from our labor in this world is to keep our bodies alive, and we should be content with what we have for our daily bread.

Use the limited time you still have to pursue what holds eternal value. Don’t chase after the material world that can vanish in a moment. Fleshly pleasure is fleeting, and worldly glory cannot last. Everything will change. Everything will pass away. If that’s the case, why waste your time chasing it?

I know everything you need. But if you pursue more than what I desire to give you, that’s greed. Don’t let your heart give birth to greed, or you’ll fall into sorrow. Instead, pray to understand My will.

So what should you pursue with your short time on earth?

What holds eternal value in your life is this: eternal life, the inheritance of heaven, and everlasting joy.

It’s worth giving everything for. It’s worth your time. It’s worth your life.

May you be granted a heart of wisdom, so your life won’t be lived in vain.

May you return to Me and find true peace and stability.

Strive to pursue what lasts forever—My love, and the hope of heaven.

Scripture

Isaiah

Chapter 30 Verses 1-3

“Ah, stubborn children,” declares the Lord,

“who carry out a plan, but not mine,

and who make an alliance, but not of my Spirit,

that they may add sin to sin;

who set out to go down to Egypt, without asking for my direction,

to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh

and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!

Therefore shall the protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame,

and the shelter in the shadow of Egypt to your humiliation.”

Isaiah

Chapter 30 Verses 27-28, 30

Behold, the name of the Lord comes from afar,

burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke;

his lips are full of fury,

and his tongue is like a devouring fire;

his breath is like an overflowing stream

that reaches up to the neck;

to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction,

and to place on the jaws of the peoples a bridle that leads astray.

And the Lord will cause his majestic voice to be heard

and the descending blow of his arm to be seen,

in furious anger and a flame of devouring fire,

with a cloudburst and storm and hailstones.

Psalm

Chapter 37 Verses 1-5, 7-11

Fret not yourself because of evildoers;

be not envious of wrongdoers!

For they will soon fade like the grass

and wither like the green herb.

Trust in the Lord, and do good;

dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.

Delight yourself in the Lord,

and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord;

trust in him, and he will act.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;

fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,

over the man who carries out evil devices!

Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!

Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.

For the evildoers shall be cut off,

but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

In just a little while, the wicked will be no more;

though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there.

But the meek shall inherit the land

and delight themselves in abundant peace.

Isaiah

Chapter 30 Verses 20-26

And though the Lord give you

the bread of adversity and the water of affliction,

yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore,

but your eyes shall see your Teacher.

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,

“This is the way, walk in it,”

when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

Then you will defile your carved idols

overlaid with silver and your gold-plated metal images.

You will scatter them as unclean things.

You will say to them, “Be gone!”

And he will give rain for the seed

with which you sow the ground,

and bread, the produce of the ground,

which will be rich and plenteous.

In that day your livestock will graze in large pastures,

and the oxen and the donkeys that work the ground

will eat seasoned fodder,

which has been winnowed with shovel and fork.

And on every lofty mountain and every high hill

there will be brooks running with water,

in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

Moreover, the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun,

and the light of the sun will be sevenfold,

as the light of seven days,

in the day when the Lord binds up the brokenness of his people,

and heals the wounds inflicted by his blow.
