(2026.08.08. Comfort from the Holy Spirit)
Reflecting on the ten plagues of Egypt allows us to see the great power God revealed, so that people may come to know the Most High Ruler. He has all authority and is almighty. He is the Creator of all things and the Lord of heaven and earth. He is the one true God, and there is no other God besides Him. Therefore, people should not worship idols made by human hands, nor should they put their trust in human strength. Instead, they should trust in the one true God.
You should also know that all things were created by God, and mankind was created by God as well. You need to understand your relationship with God and consider where you came from and where you will go in the future. God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being with a spirit. From this, we can clearly understand that human life comes from God. Without the life given by God, the flesh is of no benefit. God also wants people to understand that they are strangers and sojourners in this world, and that the physical body is only a temporary tent in which they dwell while on earth. When God takes back a person’s breath, the body returns to the dust, while the spirit returns to God who gave it.
Although people may possess power in this world, their power is ultimately limited, and they cannot overcome the Most High Ruler. In the face of suffering, disasters, and plagues, human smallness and weakness become even more apparent. While your life is still being preserved, you should all the more understand that human life is in God’s hands and turn to Him with a humble heart.
Love God, worship Him, and fear Him with a reverent heart. Do not speak many words before God, but quietly serve Him, for all the abilities we have and everything in our hands have been given by God. In Him we live and move and have our being.
In all things, keep God’s will in mind, live according to His will, and submit to His guidance. Use the gifts you have received, the grace you have received from God, and the wonderful works He has done to testify to all people of His great power, so that His name may be proclaimed throughout the whole earth. Proclaim the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ, so that all who trust in Him, follow Him, and hold firmly to the truth to the end may escape eternal punishment, and so that all people may turn to Him. For all people came from God, and one day all will return before Him to give an account to God for their lives. In the end, everyone will face His righteous judgment and receive what is due according to what they have done.
May all authority and glory be given to the one true God in heaven. Hallelujah, Amen.
Scripture
Exodus
Chapter 9 Verses 13-16
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning,
and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him,
Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews,
Let my people go, that they may serve me.
For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart,
and upon thy servants, and upon thy people;
that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
For now I will stretch out my hand,
that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence;
and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up,
for to shew in thee my power;
and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.”
Philippians
Chapter 2 Verses 9-11
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him,
and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of things in heaven, and things in earth,
and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.”
Acts
Chapter 17 Verses 24-28
“God that made the world and all things therein,
seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth,
dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men’s hands,
as though he needed any thing,
seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
And hath made of one blood all nations of men
for to dwell on all the face of the earth,
and hath determined the times before appointed,
and the bounds of their habitation;
That they should seek the Lord,
if haply they might feel after him, and find him,
though he be not far from every one of us:
For in him we live, and move, and have our being;
as certain also of your own poets have said,
For we are also his offspring.”
Isaiah
Chapter 45 Verses 20-22
“Assemble yourselves and come;
draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations:
they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image,
and pray unto a god that cannot save.
Tell ye, and bring them near;
yea, let them take counsel together:
who hath declared this from ancient time?
who hath told it from that time?
have not I the LORD?
And there is no God else beside me;
a just God and a Saviour;
there is none beside me.
Look unto me, and be ye saved,
all the ends of the earth:
for I am God, and there is none else.”
