(2026.07.20. Comfort from the Holy Spirit)
When you seek God’s will, you must first understand His heart. Otherwise, you will not understand what pleases God, what His righteous standards are, or what kind of life He wants you to live. Even though you have received the Holy Spirit and have the outward appearance of faith—you attend church gatherings, have personal devotions, listen to sermons, read the Bible, and pray—you may still be living the life you want to live, spending most of your time and energy on the things of this world without truly drawing near to Me. You do not have the strength to put My word into practice, and you continue to allow yourself to live in weakness. You think there is nothing wrong with you in My sight, yet you do not examine whether what you do and the way you live are pleasing to Me. You should ask yourself: After hearing the teachings and understanding the truth, how much of it have you actually put into practice? The truth revealed in the Bible is meant to teach people how to obey God’s word and how to receive eternal life, not merely to increase their knowledge.
In fact, the reason you do not have the strength to put My word into practice is that you have not sought My heart, so you do not understand My will for your life. Since you understand the truth, you must also receive from Me the strength to put it into practice. In this way, you can not only save yourself but also those who hear you. When you truly obey My word and live a renewed life, you can share with others the testimony of how your life has been changed and of the grace you have received from God. You can share it with more people who still do not know God, do not believe in the Lord, and have not yet received salvation, so that more people may also benefit from your testimony.
A person is able to live out the life of Christ because they have the strength to put God’s word into practice and truly do what is righteous and pleasing to Me. So do not think that you already have everything you need; in fact, there is still much that you lack. Think again and examine your faith: Are you truly united with the Lord? Are you gradually growing into the fullness of Christ and living more like Christ? Do not simply do what you think is right. Instead, do what pleases Me and what I see as right.
If your heart is still holding on to the things of this world, learn to see them as less important and let them go. Think again about the condition of your heart. The One you worship is the one true God in heaven, and what He originally intended to give people was peace and freedom in their hearts. But why is your heart still bound by the things of this world and constantly filled with worry? You should experience the sweetness of the Lord’s grace; otherwise, you are missing something truly precious. If you are still busy with the things of this world all day long, this is not the life I want for you. I do not want you to spend every day laboring over worldly things with your heart weighed down by burdens. You should rely on the Lord’s strength, look by faith toward the unseen hope, and turn your heart toward the things above. Let your life be renewed day by day and truly become a person who belongs to Me.
A person whose life has truly changed and who has been born again will begin to care about whether they are obeying My will. They will care about whether they are going their own way, and they will often think about how to please the Lord.
Delight in Me, because I alone can truly satisfy your heart. If a person’s heart is filled with the world, they will not be able to see Me or experience the grace I give. You should examine your heart and ask what you are still unable to let go of—what is causing you to spend less and less time drawing near to Me, even to the point where you no longer desire to draw near to Me, become indifferent toward the truth and serving Me, and have no strength to put My word into practice.
Do not live according to worldly experience or your own ideas. Instead, pray often and ask Me what My will is for your life. Keep a heart that is willing to obey, so that you may live each day according to My will.
