(2026.01.30. The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)

In the journey of life, the most blessed path is to know the Lord Jesus and to be blessed in Him; because the Lord Jesus has opened the door of salvation for all people, so that they may receive eternal blessing;

In this world, whether it is worrying about the next second or about the unknown and uncertain future; or facing hardships in circumstances and the fear of persecution, feeling powerless as if carrying everything alone; yet because of the presence of the Lord Jesus, a person has a firm support and can turn from weakness into strength; and can lay down the burdens in the heart, entrust everything into the Lord’s hands, and let the Lord lead the road ahead;

The Lord knows human weakness, because He knows that our frame is but dust; He does not abandon people when He sees their weakness, but instead carefully pours out compassion and lovingkindness, accompanying and guiding those who are willing to be taught, to obey the Lord, and to fear God;

The Lord died on the cross for the sins of all people and appeared to the disciples after His resurrection; people are used to relying on what their eyes can see, so when the Lord Jesus left, they felt as though they had lost their support and became afraid; the Lord’s appearing strengthened their faith and also lets believers today know that the Lord is always present, that He knows the human heart; and through the testimony of the former disciples, those who are weak receive comfort; as long as the heart that relies on the Lord does not change, one will surely receive the Lord’s mercy;

When the Lord Jesus appeared to the disciples for the first time after His resurrection, they were afraid because of their outward circumstances; the Lord stood among them and said to them, “Peace be unto you”; making people understand that God is the God who gives peace, and as long as the Lord is present, there can be peace; when the disciples received the Lord’s word, He breathed on them and said, “Receive ye the Holy Ghost”; just as in the beginning God breathed into Adam and man became a living being with a spirit; now the risen Christ breathed on the disciples, making them new creations in the Holy Spirit; life was no longer a life according to the flesh, belonging to death, but was renewed by the Holy Spirit and became a living life;

The second time the Lord appeared to the disciples, He showed compassion for human weakness and brought them back from doubt that arose because they could not see, returning them to the truth that the Lord had spoken, rebuilding an unshakable faith; so that people would no longer believe based on outward sight, but believe based on the Lord’s word; just like Christians today, whose lives are changed and renewed in the process of pursuing truth and obeying the guidance of the Holy Spirit; although they have not seen the Lord Jesus with their own eyes, the Lord once said, “Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed”; therefore, believers should become those who truly believe and not become those who do not believe;

When the Lord appeared to the disciples the third time, they once again truly recognized the Lord Jesus, and their faith was strengthened anew; the Lord asked Peter three times, “ Do you love me?
“  through this causing Peter to examine again his love and faith toward the Lord; only those who love the Lord more deeply and truly trust in Him are willing to deny themselves and completely hand over the authority of their lives to the Lord; the Lord leads people step by step, causing their spiritual life to gradually mature and preparing them to become useful vessels; when God’s appointed time comes, He entrusts the mission to them again; what the Lord desires to establish is not believers who act according to the flesh, but those whose lives have been renewed, becoming spiritual and obedient servants of the Lord;

When we see the path that the former disciples once walked, such as Peter who denied the Lord three times; if a person stumbles for a moment because of weakness, he should immediately examine himself, produce a repentance without regret, leave the path of failure, and still firmly walk on the Lord’s path; and seize every opportunity for spiritual shaping and growth, becoming more than conquerors in the Lord.

Scripture

Psalm

Chapter 103 Verses 8–14

“The LORD is merciful and gracious,

slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

He will not always chide:

neither will he keep his anger for ever.

He hath not dealt with us after our sins;

nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

For as the heaven is high above the earth,

so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the east is from the west,

so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Like as a father pitieth his children,

so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

For he knoweth our frame;

he remembereth that we are dust.”

Isaiah

Chapter 41 Verses 8–10

“But thou, Israel, art my servant,

Jacob whom I have chosen,

the seed of Abraham my friend.

Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth,

and called thee from the chief men thereof,

and said unto thee, Thou art my servant;

I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee:

be not dismayed; for I am thy God:

I will strengthen thee;

yea, I will help thee;

yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Proverbs

Chapter 3 Verses 5–6

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;

and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him,

and he shall direct thy paths.”
