Those who have been called and have received the grace of salvation should resolve to become faithful and wise servants, participating in this plan of salvation. Not only should you prepare yourselves to become holy and enter eternal life, but you must also dedicate your strength to My house—the church. Work together with Me, for I will bring those whom I have chosen before you, here and there. What you must do is to share the truth and the gospel with people. My will is that all may be saved, for the gospel is meant for everyone on earth. This will be the standard for the final judgment. You are only to preach the gospel, for everyone will ultimately receive what they deserve according to their decision in this life—whether they are willing or unwilling to be redeemed. To carry out this work well, you must become faithful stewards who are filled with spiritual wisdom and understanding.

You must continually pursue the truth, obtain the complete gospel, have a firm faith, and be rich in spiritual wisdom. Your spirit—the inner person—must grow mature and belong fully to Me. Keep the teachings of Christ in your heart so that the word of life may dwell within you. In this way, you can not only hold fast to your faith, but also, no matter the time, place, or situation, your mouth can speak words that build up others, words that encourage and comfort, guiding My sheep completely back to Me. So that those I have chosen may understand My righteousness, value holiness, and keep My commandments—walking in the path of righteousness. Remember this: it is not only about leading people to receive the baptism of forgiveness (for you must know that all things are fulfilled by Me); you must also value the work of shepherding. After believers receive the grace of forgiveness, you must be watchful—whether their souls (their inner being) remain holy, and whether their outward conduct is worthy of the identity of a Christian. You must observe these things carefully so that none of My sheep go astray.

May you become My ministers. A minister is not about rank, nor is it something the world sees as noble or high. It means taking Christ as the Head and being My good helpers—serving people and serving God, obeying the Lord’s commands. May you have a humble and obedient heart, understanding and carrying out My will. Let the richness of the truth dwell in your heart, and may you have spiritual wisdom to proclaim the complete gospel of salvation. Love others as yourself and be willing to work together with Me, so that I may entrust My work to you—My faithful stewards. I am seeking those who can work alongside Me; this grace and reward are exceedingly great.

Scripture

1 Corinthians

Chapter 4 Verses 1–2

This is how one should regard us,

as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.

Luke

Chapter 22 Verses 25–29

And He said to them,

“The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them,

and those in authority over them are called benefactors.

But not so with you.

Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest,

and the leader as one who serves.

For who is the greater,

one who reclines at table or one who serves?

Is it not the one who reclines at table?

But I am among you as the one who serves.

You are those who have stayed with Me in My trials,

and I assign to you, as My Father assigned to Me, a kingdom.”

Luke

Chapter 12 Verses 42–44

And the Lord said,

“Who then is the faithful and wise manager,

whom his master will set over his household,

to give them their portion of food at the proper time?

Blessed is that servant

whom his master will find so doing when he comes.

Truly, I say to you,

he will set him over all his possessions.”

Colossians

Chapter 3 Verses 22–25

Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters,

not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers,

but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.

Whatever you do, work heartily,

as for the Lord and not for men,

knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward.

You are serving the Lord Christ.

For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done,

and there is no partiality.
