(2025.09.17 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
I am the faithful God. My words are true and trustworthy; there is no uncertainty, no ‘yes and no’ with My word—it is always sure and true. The truth I have entrusted to you in the Scriptures is real and without falsehood.
In Me, all promises are certain. Whoever believes in the Lord will not perish but will have eternal life. This will surely come to pass. Only by believing and holding on to eternal life can you see it and receive it.
Go and study the Scriptures. You must read the whole Bible and look into the faith of those who came before you. Where did their faith rest?
They did not live by sight but believed in their hearts, trusting that a better homeland awaited them.
By faith they obeyed Me, keeping My commandments. With pure hearts, loving hearts, honest hearts, and reverent hearts, they served Me.
They were not afraid of hardship. They waited with patience, admitting that they were strangers and sojourners in this world. Even though they had not yet received what was promised, they still lived each day by faith, waiting for that eternal, imperishable city with foundations, the kingdom I prepared from the beginning of creation.
They held firmly in their hearts and finished their life’s journey with acts of faith.
They trusted and obeyed, holding tightly to My promises. They kept My commandments, turned away from evil, and walked in the way of righteousness. They endured to the very end, never losing faith, even at life’s close. And those who patiently wait until the end will surely receive the crown of life.
Scripture
2 Corinthians
Chapter 1 Verse 20
“For all the promises of God find their Yes in Him.
That is why it is through Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory.”
Hebrews
Chapter 11 Verses 1, 6
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for,
the conviction of things not seen.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists
and that He rewards those who seek Him.”
John
Chapter 3 Verses 16-17
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be saved through Him.”
Hebrews
Chapter 11 Verses 7-14, 16
“By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen,
in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household.
By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out
to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance.
And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land,
living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise.
For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations,
whose designer and builder is God.
By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive,
even when she was past the age, since she considered Him faithful who had promised.
Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead,
were born descendants as many as the stars of heaven
and as many as the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore.
These all died in faith, not having received the things promised,
but having seen them and greeted them from afar,
and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.
For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland.
But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one.
Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God,
for He has prepared for them a city.”
