(2025.11.23 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
Your spiritual life must grow and become mature; you must resolve to become strong and steadfast in the Lord. If you remain a spiritual infant in your faith, then when trials, storms, or sudden changes in your circumstances come, you will not have enough strength or courage to stand firm.
If you do not know how to rely on God, and do not face your problems with the truth, your willpower will easily be worn down by time; all your eyes can see will be the difficulties, and you will feel that everything ahead of you is something you cannot overcome.
Some people choose to escape, but the problem still remains, and the lesson God has given you is left unfinished, causing your faith to stop growing and your spiritual life to bear no fruit.
Then doubt rises in your heart, and you do not know what to do; sorrow, pain, fear, and despair fill your heart. You become anxious and cannot receive the peace that comes from God.
In this condition, your journey of faith easily ends in failure and becomes stuck; you do not receive the strength that enables you to quickly break free from the power of the evil one and from sin. You continue carrying the weight of sin, unable to overcome your own weaknesses, and unable to gain true freedom; thus you cannot enter the Canaan land I have prepared for you.
Many of God’s chosen people did not truly understand the real purpose of faith in the beginning, nor did they see the value of it.
Isn’t the purpose of believing to gain eternal life, to live forever with the Heavenly Father, and to enjoy eternal blessings in the heavenly home?
If these truths are not deeply kept in the heart, it is very easy to be defeated by changing circumstances and difficulties, allowing the work of the devil to succeed.
Many believers, in their walk of faith, do not pursue spiritual wisdom, so the eyes of their heart are not enlightened, and they become dull and insensitive to spiritual matters.
If you could understand that the work in the spiritual realm is a battle concerning the life and death of the soul, you would hold a reverent heart, be self-disciplined, remain watchful, and rely on the Lord at all times.
You would not allow your spirit to fall asleep, and you would diligently pursue the complete truth so that you may be fully equipped and not deceived by the evil one.
Then, when trials or sudden storms come, you would be able to stand firm; by the spiritual armor God provides, you would resist the attacks of the devil, overcome the weakness in your heart, and expose the schemes of the evil one.
Many believers on the path of faith focus only on themselves. They only want to live comfortably and enjoy grace, but never consider that although they have freely received salvation, many others are still living under the power of the devil.
They are unaware of the responsibility Christians should bear.
They become indifferent and lazy toward the matters of God’s household, do not love the truth, and do not love to draw near to Me in spiritual devotion, causing them to lack spiritual wisdom and fail to understand God’s will.
Their spiritual life bears no fruit of righteousness. They do not work hard for salvation. They love themselves more than they love God, causing their faith to grow cold and their hearts to gradually drift away from God.
Some believers think that once they believe in the Lord, they have already obtained eternal life. This statement itself is not wrong, but that is only the beginning of walking toward eternal life.
They neglect the fact that they must walk the path of sanctification, and they do not understand the importance of becoming holy.
You are still living in a world filled with sin. The devil never stops tempting people to sin.
And those who have been redeemed and whose sins have been washed away should be even more careful, because the devil wants to steal the heart of man and make people listen to him.
If you do not separate yourself from sin, you will easily fall into its traps and lose the grace God originally intended to give you.
Therefore, you must set your heart firmly, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, and become strong in the Lord.
In this way, on the path of salvation, you will be able to stand firm and not be lost.
Scripture
1 Corinthians
Chapter 16 Verse 13
“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith,
act like men, be strong.”
Ephesians
Chapter 4 Verses 13–16
“until we all attain to the unity of the faith
and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
to mature manhood,
to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
so that we may no longer be children,
tossed to and fro by the waves
and carried about by every wind of doctrine,
by human cunning,
by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
Rather, speaking the truth in love,
we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,
from whom the whole body,
joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped,
when each part is working properly,
makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”
John
Chapter 17 Verses 15–19
“I do not ask that you take them out of the world,
but that you keep them from the evil one.
They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
Sanctify them in the truth;
your word is truth.
As you sent me into the world,
so I have sent them into the world.
And for their sake I consecrate myself,
that they also may be sanctified in truth.”
Ephesians
Chapter 1 Verses 17–19
“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of glory,
may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation
in the knowledge of him,
having the eyes of your hearts enlightened,
that you may know
what is the hope to which he has called you,
what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power
toward us who believe,
according to the working of his great might”
