(2026.06.25. Comfort from the Holy Spirit)
When people become physically ill, they seek healing. In the same way, our spiritual life can also become sick. Have you paid attention to whether your soul is healthy? People can see the sickness and pain of the body, but they often overlook whether the person within them is healthy. Sin makes the soul sick. If a person lives in sin and their sins have not been forgiven by God, they cannot enter the kingdom of God, and their soul will ultimately go to hell. This is a warning that everyone should take to heart. People care about their physical health, but they should care even more about whether their spiritual life is healthy and examine whether they are walking on the path of holiness.
Examine yourself through the Bible and God’s righteous standards to see whether you have any spiritual sickness—that is, any kind of sin or unrighteousness in God’s eyes. Ask yourself whether you have failed to worship the one true God who created all things and instead worship idols made by human hands; whether you love the world, follow your own sinful desires, or live in sins such as pride, selfishness, jealousy, greed, and lying; and whether your heart, eyes, mouth, or hands have been stained by sin. If you discover that you are living in sin, you must not ignore it. You must seek God, allow sin to be removed from your life, and receive true healing.
The remedy that heals the soul is the salvation accomplished by the Lord Jesus and the teaching of God’s truth. The precious blood shed by the Lord Jesus brings forgiveness of sins. God’s word shines light into a person’s heart, helping them see their sins, understand God’s will, turn away from sin, return to God, and remain on God’s righteous path. If a person is willing to receive the Lord’s salvation, they should come before God in true repentance, accept the salvation of the Lord Jesus, receive forgiveness of sins, be renewed within, and have their soul healed by God.
In this world, people sometimes suffer because of their own sins. When they turn away from God, they can also become burdened and weighed down by many kinds of sorrow. When a person is set free from the bondage of sin, their soul can be healed. When the soul is restored to health, they can enjoy the peace and freedom that come from God.
Care about the health of your soul, because physical life is only temporary, but the soul will exist forever. Physical death is not the end, but the beginning of entering eternity. Everyone must face God’s righteous judgment. There is still an opportunity today to repent and return to God. While the door of God’s saving grace is still open, seek Him and follow Him, so that you may inherit eternal life in the future.
