Throughout our lives in this world, we often face all kinds of temptations.

People like to pursue their dreams and go after the things they desire. But you must be careful about what you encounter and what appears before you, because the devil often hides temptation within people’s desires and pursuits, causing them to fall into his traps without even realizing it.

What people think is good may not truly be good. Do not mistake the pleasure that comes from the desires of the flesh for a path of blessing, because such pleasure is often accompanied by worry and uneasiness. True blessings and lasting joy come from God, filling the heart with peace and contentment. When people follow their own desires, they can easily fall into the devil’s temptations and snares.

Therefore, when something comes before you, do not look only at the immediate benefits. Think carefully about it in your heart and examine it again and again. Ask yourself whether it is in accordance with God’s will, whether it pleases God, whether it can bring glory to God’s name, and whether it is beneficial to your spiritual life. Never allow temporary desires or personal gain to lead you into sin and cause you to sin against God.

Always keep God’s word and the truth of the Bible in your heart, because God’s word can shine light on you when temptation comes and help you see the devil’s schemes. When you realize that something will harm your spiritual life or cause you to become stained by sin, stay away from it immediately. Do not think that you are strong enough to handle it, and do not think that it does not matter simply because it seems like a small thing.

God’s children should remain holy. If people give in to their desires, sin will gradually take root and grow in their hearts, causing them to slowly lose their alertness until they become numb and insensitive to sin. Flee from the devil’s temptations. Stay away from environments that lead to sin and from anything that may cause you to become weak and fall. Do not remain in such places.

May you become a person who fears God. Be careful with your words, thoughts, and actions, and remain holy. In your daily life, seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit, walk in the truth, rely on the strength God gives you to overcome the desires of the flesh, live in the light, and walk with God.

Chapter 8 Verses 10-13

Receive my instruction, and not silver;
and knowledge rather than choice gold.

For wisdom is better than rubies;
and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

I wisdom dwell with prudence,
and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil:
pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way,
and the forward mouth, do I hate.

Kneel with humility

Close your eyes to concentrate.

The first sentence should begin by saying, “In the name of the  Lord Jesus  I pray.”

Then

Praise the Lord by saying, “Hallelujah!”“Praise the Lord Jesus!”

Spend time to speak with God from your heart and ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit.

Conclude your prayer with, “Amen.”
