(2026.04.08 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
Read the Bible. Quiet your heart, keep God’s inspired words in your heart, and live according to the truth of Scripture. The whole Bible is inspired by God. It is the truth God has revealed to mankind, and it is the path of salvation prepared for all people. Life in this world is not meant for chasing after worldly things, but for seeing through Scripture the path God has prepared for your life and the purpose He wants to accomplish. Through the Bible, you can also see the mistakes people made in the past and how they were punished, so you may understand what displeases God and brings His anger, and turn away from evil. You must also use Scripture to examine whether the teachings you hear and the gospel being preached are correct and truly from the truth. If what you hear comes from human ideas, changes the message of salvation, or mixes in false teachings, do not follow it. Be careful and guard against the works of the devil. The essential truth of salvation is found in the Bible. The truth must not be changed or added to, because the standard is set entirely by God. You should also live according to the Bible’s teaching, encourage one another, help each other be built up, and live a godly life each day.
So, you must personally pursue the truth with all diligence. If there are things you do not understand, pray earnestly with a humble heart and ask God to give you wisdom. God’s word brings blessing and leads people to eternal life. Therefore, read the Bible carefully, again and again, and meditate deeply on its words. Set your heart to obey God’s word and walk in His righteous way.
Be sure to guard against false prophets and against false teachings entering your heart. Even when listening to preaching, you must personally examine the Scriptures, so your heart will not follow false teaching and stray from the right path. The devil is extremely cunning. He understands God’s teachings and can mix false influence through human words, using teachings that sound right but are not truly from the truth. Everyone who teaches God’s word must be careful. As recorded in Jeremiah, the false prophets of that time were not sent by God and had not received words from Him, yet they spoke as if their messages were from God, following their own thoughts. They said to the people, “Peace, peace,” when there was no peace. They caused people to believe lies, continue in evil, refuse to repent, and refuse to turn from their evil ways. If this is so, how could they ever receive true peace?
In the last days, there will be many spiritual battles. These battles are not against flesh and blood, but against evil spirits in the heavenly realm. Satan deceives the world and leads people away from the true way. He can perform all kinds of false signs and wonders. Through the benefits of this life, he can lure people with profit, wealth, and empty glory, causing them to mistakenly think these things are blessings from God, while not realizing Satan’s schemes are hidden within them. This leads people to pursue the world, drift away from God, and gradually leave the path to the kingdom of heaven. His goal is to make people follow and worship him. You must be very careful.
Therefore, if the truth is in your heart, you will not easily be used or deceived by Satan. When facing various temptations, you will be able to stand firm and not fall because of weakness or lack of understanding of the truth. Nor will your own wrong words or actions cause others to stumble and keep them from receiving the gospel that brings salvation. Do not let false prophets teach you. Let God’s word, the truth of Scripture, teach you instead. In this way, in everything you face, you will be able to discern according to the truth whether something is from God.
Stay watchful and be prepared. Continue in regular spiritual devotion, guard your heart, and remain in the Lord’s word, keeping the truth in your heart. Carefully obey and practice it. Do not only hear the word, but live it out, so that you may walk in the truth and live a life that brings glory to the Lord. In this crooked and rebellious generation, if you hold firmly to God’s true word, you will not be easily deceived. You will stay on the right path, finish the race set before you, and in the end enter the heavenly home God has prepared.

because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:
Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:
and this is that spirit of antichrist,
whereof ye have heard that it should come;
and even now already is it in the world.

because greater is he that is in you,
