(2026.03.03. The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
God loves the world. He redeemed people from death so that they would no longer bear the punishment of sin. He personally became flesh and came into the world to fulfill the plan of salvation that had been prepared before the foundation of the world.
This love is beyond anything we could ever repay. If a person truly understands God’s great love and sees that this redeeming grace is something no treasure in this world could ever be exchanged for, should it not be regarded as the most precious thing in life? Because of this, we should be willing to spend our whole lives holding firmly to the true way, holding firmly to the truth of the gospel that comes from God, and earnestly seeking to know Him. Through His promises, the hope of our heavenly home is born in us, and an unshakable faith is established. We should also respond to God with love, walk with the Lord in a life of obedience to His will, and build a close relationship with Him that will never be separated.
Therefore, build yourselves up on the most holy faith, and understand the truths about being set apart as holy and about salvation. These include the inspiration of God in the Scriptures, the commandments God has given, and the teachings passed down by the apostles. They also include every truth that leads to salvation, such as faith in the one true God, the salvation of the cross, repentance, sanctification, resurrection, and judgment. You must understand these things and keep them in your heart, so that your faith in God and your hope of heaven will not be shaken, and so that you will be able to stand firm to the end. In this way, you will also be able to preach the gospel, always be ready to answer all kinds of questions with pure truth, bear a good witness for the Lord, proclaim His name, and bring benefit to both yourself and others.
Build up your spiritual life through the truth, just as a house is built on a rock. Let truth be your foundation. Once the foundation is firm, keep building upward layer by layer, making each level strong and solid. In the same way, when building the spiritual temple, you must continue without stopping in your pursuit of understanding the truth. You must read the Bible, and through the words God inspired and left for the world, come to know the one true God, receive His teaching, and keep His word in your heart, so that you may receive wisdom from heaven.
You must work hard and keep building, so that you may understand the true way of salvation more clearly and know how to walk on the path of righteousness and bear all kinds of righteous fruit. In this way, your spiritual life in the Lord will gradually mature until your days on earth come to an end.
You must also pray in the Holy Spirit and ask according to the Lord’s will. By the help of the Holy Spirit, turn away from weakness, from following the flesh, and from a self-centered life, and turn back to God. Recognize your own weakness and sin. Because God’s word is kept in your heart, continue to examine yourself, and use the truth to correct the path beneath your feet, so that you may keep walking in purity. Receive strength from the Lord, submit to His will, and let your life gradually grow strong. Until the end of your days on earth, remain in God’s love and look to the return of the Lord Jesus, who will receive us into His glorious kingdom.
Scripture
Psalm
Chapter 127 Verse 1
“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”
Romans
Chapter 8 Verses 26-27
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:
for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:
but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,
because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
2 Timothy
Chapter 3 Verses 14-17
“But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of,
knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures,
which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect,
throughly furnished unto all good works.”
Joshua
Chapter 1 Verse 8
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth;
but thou shalt meditate therein day and night,
that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein:
for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,
and then thou shalt have good success.”
1 Thessalonians
Chapter 5 Verses 23-24
“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly;
and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless
unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”
