(2026.02.09 — The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
During the days a person lives in this world, no one knows how long their life will remain; whether long or short, it is always limited. But you do not need to know or worry about the time when your life on earth will end. What truly matters is how to live a life of value within this limited time; how to walk in the plan that God has set for mankind and do what pleases Him in this short and ever-changing world.
Just as a person grows from childhood to adulthood, different stages of life bring different choices. Decisions about schools, jobs, and all kinds of life choices—where to study, where to work, and what to do—should all first be entrusted to God through prayer, asking the Lord to guide every step. It should not be according to one’s own ideas, nor asking the Lord to fulfill what we ourselves think is good. For the path God has appointed for a person’s life is higher than the ways people naturally want and the paths they choose for themselves. God’s plan for a person is higher than the plans people make for themselves. What people can see is limited, and human wisdom is also limited. How can a person truly know the things of man? Only by living in the infinite Lord can one understand the path He has prepared.
A person must become a spiritual person, for a spiritual person discerns all things. Through the Holy Spirit, God reveals all things to people—things that those who live according to the flesh cannot know, and they cannot understand the things that belong to God. Therefore, those who believe in the Lord should not spend their time pursuing earthly knowledge, nor rely on worldly wisdom, nor make choices based on what others say is beneficial or based on their own past experiences. Instead, they should become spiritual people, pursuing the wisdom that comes from heaven, willing to be led by the Holy Spirit and to obey the truth. Because the Holy Spirit dwells within us, He opens our spiritual eyes and gives us spiritual insight. Then we are able to discern which path is the way God has shown us to walk, and which work God has appointed for us to accomplish in this life, allowing us to see the heavenly path.
Therefore, a spiritual person lives according to the will of the Lord. In the journey of life, whenever a decision must be made, one should first place the matter into God’s hands and cast their anxieties upon Him. Instead of making choices according to one’s own thoughts, one entrusts the authority of the decision to God. By wholeheartedly relying on the Lord, praying sincerely, and patiently waiting, when taking action in life, a person measures everything by whether it helps a soul receive salvation and builds up spiritual life. In this way, one can understand how to make choices that are in accordance with the Lord’s will. Everything a believer does and every word spoken should be related to guarding one’s own spiritual life and building up the spiritual life of others—so that one’s own spiritual life will not suffer loss and others will not stumble, but instead be strengthened. For God examines the human heart, and everything a person does in this world will one day be accounted for before God at the time of judgment. Therefore, a person must become a spiritual person in order to clearly see the purpose of life, so that the journey of life continually moves toward the goal of entering the kingdom of heaven.
Scripture
1 Corinthians
Chapter 2 Verses 10-15
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:
for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
For what man knoweth the things of a man,
save the spirit of man which is in him?
even so the things of God knoweth no man,
but the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world,
but the spirit which is of God;
that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak,
not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth,
but which the Holy Ghost teacheth;
comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned.
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things,
yet he himself is judged of no man.
Psalms
Chapter 32 Verses 6-11
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee
in a time when thou mayest be found:
surely in the floods of great waters
they shall not come nigh unto him.
Thou art my hiding place;
thou shalt preserve me from trouble;
thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye.
Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding:
whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle,
lest they come near unto thee.
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked:
but he that trusteth in the LORD,
mercy shall compass him about.
Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous:
and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
