(2025.12.25 — The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
You must seek God and be found by Him, and be brought under the name of the Lord. Do not live days without the Lord’s presence. Such days leave people under the deception and bondage of the devil, helpless and without God’s protection. The days ahead will be even more difficult, with increasing persecution. Without relying on the truth, it is truly impossible to stand firm.
When a person does not have the Lord’s presence, they have no power to resist temptation and no strength to overcome sin. In the end, they will fall under God’s judgment. Therefore, you must seek the one true God who can truly be relied upon—take refuge in Him, follow Him, and let your life receive real protection and salvation.
The ungodly have no God in their hearts. Their lives remain in sin, and fear will seize them. They long for peace in their hearts, yet never truly find it. Such people do not pray to the true God, but instead turn to the evil one, the devil, and follow the idols they worship in their own hearts. God is holy, and holiness cannot coexist with sin. Sin cannot stand before God and will ultimately be removed. Those who persist in refusing to repent, who do not walk according to the truth, and who continue in rebellion will face the same end.
Who can live with the consuming fire? Who can dwell with everlasting fire?
It is those who live uprightly and speak with righteousness;
those who hate evil, reject injustice, and refuse to compromise with the powers of darkness;
those who have been set apart by God, refined, and who walk in the truth.
Therefore, you must fear the God who created you and make Him your King. Only the fear of the LORD enables a person to stand firm. Give yourself fully to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, walk the path you ought to walk, and earnestly pursue holiness and maturity. This gives you the strength to obey the truth, to flee from sexual immorality, and to turn away from all uncleanness. In this way, you will dwell on high and live in the house of God.
Blessed are those who rely on the Lord with all their heart and long for Zion. What your hands do will be established in the Lord and will not be in vain. You will dwell in God’s dwelling place forever.
Scripture
Romans
Chapter 1 Verses 18–25
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,
who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them;
for God hath shewed it unto them.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful;
but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man,
and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts,
to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator,
who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Jeremiah
Chapter 2 Verses 7, 10–13, 15, 17
And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof;
but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.
For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see;
and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.
Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods?
but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.
Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this,
and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.
For my people have committed two evils;
they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters,
and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
The young lions roared upon him, and yelled,
and they made his land waste:
his cities are burned without inhabitant.
Hast thou not procured this unto thyself,
in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way?
Isaiah
Chapter 33 Verses 14–17
The sinners in Zion are afraid;
fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites.
Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?
who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly;
he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes,
that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
He shall dwell on high:
his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks:
bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty:
they shall behold the land that is very far off.
