(The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit, September 30, 2025)
May you hunger and thirst for the truth, and love My words. The truth will feed you and make you strong. But this strength does not refer to the outer body, the physical person, but to your soul, your inner person. No matter how much you care for the body, or how much rich food you eat, the body will still grow old, decay, and perish.
But the soul that belongs to God must rely on and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit, drawing strength from the Lord to destroy the works of the devil, put to death sinful thoughts and deeds, and receive an incorruptible life.
Stay close to Me. Each day receive the teaching of Scripture, place God’s righteousness in your heart, and strive for the path of life. While you live, you should pursue the glorious crown of life that awaits, so that you may have new life—a life alive in the Spirit, a life that sings, praises, and gives thanks to God.
As you daily receive the bread of life from heaven, your soul will be nourished continually, making your spiritual life healthy, whole, without lack, holy, and beautiful. You will keep receiving strength from above, filled with heavenly wisdom, becoming more and more like your Father, bearing the image of the Lord. You will also receive abundant grace, overflowing in all things—in love, in faith, and in wisdom—so that you may be full of joy and satisfaction.
Though your outer person—the body—is slowly decaying, in the Lord you can overcome, and your inner person—your life—is renewed day by day. Come and seek Me, rely on Me, and I will deliver you from death. I stretch out My arm to show you mercy. I am still waiting for those willing to turn back to Me, for I love your soul above all else.
If you have a willing heart, then set your mind not to remain weak, but to be strong by My strength. Keep seeking the truth, and pray to receive the grace and power that come from above, that you may have new life. Keep fulfilling My will, bearing witness to the grace and power that God gives. Keep lifting up voices of thanksgiving and praise, giving glory to your Father in heaven.
Scripture
Psalm
Chapter 18 Verses 31-37
“For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God—
the God who equipped me with strength
and made my way blameless.
He made my feet like the feet of a deer
and set me secure on the heights.
He trains my hands for war,
so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
You have given me the shield of your salvation,
and your right hand supported me,
and your gentleness made me great.
You gave a wide place for my steps under me,
and my feet did not slip.
I pursued my enemies and overtook them,
and did not turn back till they were consumed.”
Romans
Chapter 8 Verses 13-14
“For if you live according to the flesh you will die,
but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”
Psalm
Chapter 136 Verse 12
“with a strong hand and an outstretched arm,
for his steadfast love endures forever;”
Isaiah
Chapter 38 Verses 16-20
“O Lord, by these things men live,
and in all these is the life of my spirit.
Oh restore me to health and make me live!
Behold, it was for my welfare
that I had great bitterness;
but in love you have delivered my life
from the pit of destruction,
for you have cast all my sins behind your back.
For Sheol does not thank you;
death does not praise you;
those who go down to the pit
do not hope for your faithfulness.
The living, the living, he thanks you,
as I do this day;
the father makes known to the children
your faithfulness.
The Lord will save me,
and we will play my music on stringed instruments
all the days of our lives,
at the house of the Lord.”
