(2026.07.31. Comfort from the Holy Spirit)
God’s thoughts toward people are good. He wants people to live satisfying and contented lives under His kindness. His purpose for people is to redeem them from the world and from the hand of the devil. Because Adam, the first man, sinned, sin entered the world. No one can free themselves from sin by their own strength, nor can anyone escape the punishment of sin. In order to save sinners, God Himself became flesh, gave Himself for all people, and was crucified on the cross. He paid the price of death in the place of sinners, so that those who believe in Him may be saved, no longer live under the power of sin, and no longer face the eternal death of the soul.
The Almighty God once firmly made a covenant with the forefathers, promising to give them the land of Canaan. No matter how much time passes, God’s promise does not change. Today, God likewise wants us to be His people, and He wants to be our God. He wants to free us from the control of sin so that we will no longer be slaves to sin and can be released from the burden of sin. He wants to restore the closeness between people and God that existed when humanity was first created, so that we may live according to God’s image and likeness and regain the honor that God originally gave to mankind. Through the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ, He also restores the relationship between people and God, makes us children of God, and leads us into the heavenly home He has prepared, where we may enjoy eternal blessings.
God also wants us to become good soldiers of Christ. We are to receive God’s training, equip ourselves with truth and righteousness, and become people who obey God and follow His commands. Therefore, believing in the Lord and being baptized is only the beginning. There is still much spiritual work that needs to be completed. Let the Lord Jesus Christ lead His people, and let us depend every day on the guidance of the Great Shepherd. We should no longer go our own way as we please, but obey the leading of the Lord Jesus Christ in everything we do. We must understand God’s will, fear God throughout our lives, and obey His word, so that each of us may fulfill God’s purpose for us. Because of Him, our lives have true hope and value.
We must make up our minds to fulfill God’s purpose for us throughout our lives and finally receive eternal life. May all glory, praise, and thanksgiving be given to the one true God in heaven forever and ever. Amen.
Scripture
Jeremiah
Chapter 29 Verse 11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,
“plans for peace and not for disaster,
to give you a future and a hope.”
Exodus
Chapter 6 Verses 6-8
Therefore say to the people of Israel,
“I am the LORD,
and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians,
and I will deliver you from their slavery,
and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment.
I will take you to be My people,
and I will be your God,
and you shall know that I am the LORD your God,
who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
I will bring you into the land
that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
I will give it to you as a possession.
I am the LORD.”
John
Chapter 3 Verses 16-17
“For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish
but have eternal life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be saved through Him.”
Matthew
Chapter 11 Verse 28
“Come to Me,
all who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.”
Ephesians
Chapter 6 Verses 10-13
Finally, be strong in the Lord
and in the strength of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers,
against the authorities,
against the powers over this present darkness,
against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and having done all,
to stand firm.
2 Timothy
Chapter 4 Verses 7-8
I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith.
Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge,
will award to me on that day,
and not only to me
but also to all who have loved His appearing.
