(2026.4.20. The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
Blessed are those who hear the gospel of salvation of the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who firmly believe God’s word and keep the prophecies of the Bible. For everyone who looks to Him will receive mercy in hardship, and will receive comfort and strength in suffering. He gives people hope and turns a life that was once dead into a living life. Our life comes from God. If a person is not connected to God, his life is dead. If a person still lives in sin, his end is destruction.
Through faith, people see how beautiful the love God gives is, so they leave the world behind and turn to pursue God. Their lives are renewed, and they become new creations in the Lord. Through faith, people are set free from the bondage of sin and receive true freedom. Through faith, people become willing to seek the way of salvation and receive the redeeming grace that leads to eternal life. By believing in the one true God, and believing all the words that come from God, a heart that fears God is born within them. They walk in light and holiness, preparing themselves to become vessels pleasing to God. They serve God with a reverent heart and worship the Creator with a single-minded heart. They become godly people, so that God may accept our prayers and allow us to inherit the eternal blessing He gives.
To enter the New Jerusalem is to enter the church where the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, is present. It is the spiritual kingdom God has established on earth. There, we can see the river of the water of life flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. There, we can receive the tree of life, which is the salvation of the cross of the Lord Jesus. There, we can see all the good grace and eternal love that the Lord Jesus and our Heavenly Father have prepared for us. There, through the precious blood of the Lord Jesus, people’s sins are forgiven and their lives are healed. People are no longer under the bondage of sin, death, and the curse brought by the sin of our ancestor Adam. They are set free from the power of sin and are no longer separated from the life of God.
We must receive the spiritual food of the Lord in the Lord, drink the water of life, and receive the teaching of the whole Bible. Let the Lord Jesus become the Teacher of our life and of our walk on the road to the kingdom of heaven, so that we may receive the true way of eternal life. We must pray for the Holy Spirit and receive the Holy Spirit, so that the Holy Spirit may fill our hearts and enable us to obey His leading. Let the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, help us and guide us to walk on the path of righteousness, to finish the road we ought to walk, and to complete God’s will for our lives. May we have the name of the Lord Jesus on our foreheads, no longer belonging to the world, no longer living as our own master, but being separated from the world and belonging to the Lord, becoming people who have a share in the kingdom of heaven. May we be able to prepare ourselves, become holy, inherit the heavenly kingdom prepared by God for people, enter eternal life, and be with the Lord.
Scripture
Isaiah
Chapter 2 Verses 2-3
It shall come to pass in the latter days
that the mountain of the house of the LORD
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
and shall be lifted up above the hills;
and all the nations shall flow to it,
and many peoples shall come, and say:
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths.”
For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Joel
Chapter 2 Verses 19-23, 28-29
The LORD answered and said to his people,
“Behold, I am sending to you
grain, wine, and oil,
and you will be satisfied;
and I will no more make you
a reproach among the nations.
I will remove the northerner far from you,
and drive him into a parched and desolate land,
his vanguard into the eastern sea,
and his rear guard into the western sea;
the stench and foul smell of him will rise,
for he has done great things.
“Fear not, O land;
be glad and rejoice,
for the LORD has done great things!
Fear not, you beasts of the field,
for the pastures of the wilderness are green;
the tree bears its fruit;
the fig tree and vine give their full yield.
“Be glad, O children of Zion,
and rejoice in the LORD your God,
for he has given the early rain for your vindication;
he has poured down for you abundant rain,
the early and the latter rain, as before.
“And it shall come to pass afterward,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your old men shall dream dreams,
and your young men shall see visions.
Even on the male and female servants
in those days I will pour out my Spirit.”
John
Chapter 3 Verses 5-7
Jesus answered,
“Truly, truly, I say to you,
unless one is born of water and the Spirit,
he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh,
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Do not marvel that I said to you,
‘You must be born again.’”
Psalms
Chapter 32 Verses 8-9
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding,
which must be curbed with bit and bridle,
or it will not stay near you.
