(2026.03.13 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)
Do not become a believer who is neither cold nor hot, like someone who is lukewarm and indifferent toward their faith. In daily life, it may seem as if you have no faith at all. You do not draw near to the Lord, you do not read the Bible, and you do not spend time in prayer or devotion. You do not treat God as important or keep Him in your heart. You do not see eternal life as something precious, and you are not willing to pursue the truth diligently so that you may understand God’s word and His commandments. You also do not value building up your spiritual life on the foundation of truth, nor do you see this as the most important goal in life, preparing yourself to enter the holy kingdom of heaven.
Although God has given the Holy Spirit as a guarantee, allowing people to receive the promise of eternal life and the kingdom of heaven, to such people this precious promise feels optional, something that does not truly matter. They do not care whether they please God, nor do they care whether they live a life that aligns with His will or remain in His mercy and love. They are unconcerned about their daily behavior, whether their words build others up, or whether their actions cause harm to their spiritual life. They are not worried about whether they will be able to stand on the day of judgment, or whether they will fall under condemnation.
Do not assume that you are already strong in your faith, thinking that everything is fine and that you can stand firm before God, as if you are already spiritually rich and lack nothing, with no need to continue pursuing. Without realizing it, you are actually someone who needs God’s mercy. What you do may have no spiritual value in God’s eyes. You have not stored up treasures in heaven, nor have you borne the fruit of the Spirit through righteous living. Your spiritual eyes are blind—you cannot see your own weakness, nor do you understand the truth. As a result, your heart remains in the world, your spiritual eyes are not opened, and you are still spiritually naked and ashamed. You are still living in sin, without the covering of holy white garments.
Therefore, while there is still time, while today remains and there is still an opportunity to repent, humble yourself and pray for a heart that burns with love for God. Long to know Him, long to become holy and complete, and serve the Lord all your life. Ask God for strength. Learn to fear Him and obey His commandments, so that through His teaching you may put off impurity, be refined through trials, and become holy. Put on white garments once again, and let your spiritual eyes be opened so that you may see the true meaning of life and God’s will.
Repent, rely on God, and let your heart be changed so that you may walk in His will. Continually cleanse your garments, keep yourself clothed in white in your spirit, abide in the Lord, and live in His love. The one who overcomes—I will not remove him. He will remain in the house of God forever.
Scripture
Revelation
Chapter 3 Verses 15-20
“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
Luke
Chapter 21 Verses 32-36
“Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”
Revelation
Chapter 3 Verse 12
“Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.”
