(2025.11.14 The Encouragement of the Holy Spirit)

Keep the Sabbath, for this is a blessing I give to My chosen people. It was what I instructed My servant Moses in the past, and now it is the same for you. My love never changes, and My words do not change with time. As it was before, so it is now—you must keep it.

You must also remember your God. He is the self-existent and eternal God, the Beginning and the End. He is the God who created the heavens and the earth and gave you life. He created all things and gives you what you need. He nourishes you, has compassion on you, and loves you. He also wants you to understand that although the earth was cursed because of sin, and although people in the past were slaves in Egypt, God took notice of His people and delivered His chosen ones. In the same way, today you also labor and are oppressed in this world ruled by the devil, yet God still cares for His people. He wants to set people free, to lead them out of the world, and to let them enjoy rest in Him.

Within six days God completed the creation of the heavens, the earth, and all things. On the seventh day He ceased from all His work and blessed that day. The seventh day of the week is the holy Sabbath. It is a day set apart as holy. You must keep this day and give it to God, not stay in the secular world, but enter into rest and enjoy the Sabbath I give you.

Therefore, you must search the Scriptures, to keep the Sabbath and all the words I have commanded. You must listen and learn, so that you can carefully keep and obey My commandments. Just as people kept the Sabbath in the past, so must you keep the Sabbath today. And it is not only in outward actions that you keep the Sabbath by ceasing from labor; on this holy day you must also quiet your heart, leave the world behind. Not only must your heart and your hands leave the world—your eyes and your mouth must also leave the world. Only then is it true rest.

There is also another rest—a more beautiful rest prepared for My people—an eternal rest, which is the good news that you can enter into eternal life. Whoever believes in Me and keeps My commandments, I will cause all the labor and hardship you suffer on this sin-cursed earth to come to an end. I will wipe away every tear that falls from your eyes. In My kingdom, My holy kingdom, there will no longer be tears, nor sorrow or pain, because the sinful world will have been destroyed and dissolved. The former heaven and earth will have passed away and will continue no more. Everything will be made new—a new heaven and a new earth. Whoever overcomes sin and becomes holy, I will be his God, and he will be My son. I will dwell with him and cause him to enjoy everlasting joy.

Scripture

Exodus

Chapter 20 Verses 8–11

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Six days you shall labor, and do all your work,

but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God.

On it you shall not do any work,

you, or your son, or your daughter,

your male servant, or your female servant,

or your livestock,

or the sojourner who is within your gates.

For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth,

the sea, and all that is in them,

and rested on the seventh day.

Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day

and made it holy.”

Deuteronomy

Chapter 5 Verses 12 and 15

“Observe the Sabbath day,

to keep it holy,

as the Lord your God commanded you.

You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt,

and the Lord your God brought you out from there

with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm.

Therefore the Lord your God commanded you

to keep the Sabbath day.”

Hebrews

Chapter 4 Verses 1–7, 9–10

“Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands,

let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it.

For good news came to us just as to them,

but the message they heard did not benefit them,

because they were not united by faith with those who listened.

For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said,

‘As I swore in my wrath,

“They shall not enter my rest.”’

Although his works were finished

from the foundation of the world.

For he has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way:

‘And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.’

And again in this passage he said,

‘They shall not enter my rest.’

Since therefore it remains for some to enter it,

and those who formerly received the good news

failed to enter because of disobedience,

again he appoints a certain day,

‘Today,’ saying through David

so long afterward,

in the words already quoted,

‘Today, if you hear his voice,

do not harden your hearts.’

So then, there remains a Sabbath rest

for the people of God,

for whoever has entered God’s rest

has also rested from his works

as God did from his.”

Revelation

Chapter 21 Verses 1–7

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth,

for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away,

and the sea was no more.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,

coming down out of heaven from God,

prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,

‘Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.

He will dwell with them,

and they will be his people,

and God himself will be with them as their God.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,

and death shall be no more,

neither shall there be mourning,

nor crying, nor pain anymore,

for the former things have passed away.’

And he who was seated on the throne said,

‘Behold, I am making all things new.’

Also he said,

‘Write this down,

for these words are trustworthy and true.’

And he said to me,

‘It is done!

I am the Alpha and the Omega,

the beginning and the end.

To the thirsty I will give from the spring

of the water of life without payment.

The one who conquers will have this heritage,

and I will be his God

and he will be my son.’”
