(2026.05.19. Comfort from the Holy Spirit)
In Noah’s generation, the people on earth had become corrupt, and their wickedness was very great. Therefore, God carried out His righteous judgment. However, before the judgment came, God showed mercy. He first prepared a way of salvation for people and gave them an opportunity to repent so that they would not perish. He commanded Noah to build an ark according to His instructions. He told him to use gopher wood, make rooms inside it, cover it with pitch inside and out, and follow the exact measurements and design He gave, including the opening for light, the door of the ark, and the arrangement of its lower, middle, and upper levels. Noah did everything God commanded him to do. Therefore, when the flood came and rain fell for forty days and forty nights, Noah was protected because he had faith, obeyed God, and entered the ark God had prepared. He escaped the flood that destroyed the world. This also foreshadowed the salvation God has prepared for people in the last days.
The world today is also corrupt and is moving step by step toward the fullness of sin and the final judgment. God wants everyone to repent. He does not want anyone to be judged and perish because of sin. Therefore, He gave the grace of redemption. He became flesh and took on human form. He was crucified for the sins of the world and shed His precious blood, so that all who trust in Him may have their sins forgiven, be cleansed, and be saved from perishing because of sin. People should come and receive this free gift of redemption. Whoever has ears should listen. Do not continue to be absorbed in the world, holding on to unbelief, rebellion, and an unwillingness to repent. Do not continue doing what is evil in God’s eyes and remain living in sin.
Today, when you hear the gospel of the kingdom of heaven, can you be like Noah, receiving God’s word when you hear it and doing what He says? When unbelieving people are enjoying themselves and loving the world, can you still hold on to faith and patience, without being afraid of what others think, and focus on building your spiritual life? As your spiritual life grows, you should often examine whether every step you take meets God’s righteous standard. You should also continue to stay alert and prepare yourself, because you do not know when the Lord Jesus will return or when the last day will come. The foundation for building your spiritual life is the truth of God. The Bible teaches people the way of salvation. It helps them understand that they must seek God’s righteousness, obey His will, turn away from sin, and walk in the way of truth. It also teaches that people must have their sins forgiven through Christ and be cleansed before they can enter eternal life. You must build your life on the rock, so that your spiritual life may become strong, you may resist the attacks of the devil, and you may live a holy life that follows God’s will and pleases Him.
Every person on earth must face God’s righteous judgment. No one can be saved by another person’s faith, righteous deeds, or prayers. If a person refuses to repent, refuses to believe and obey God, and refuses to accept the salvation God has prepared, that person will eventually have to answer for his or her own choices. These words are not only for unbelievers. Those who say they believe in the Lord must also examine themselves in the same way. Therefore, during the short years of this life, do not waste your time. Make good use of every opportunity to prepare yourself. May you be willing to receive the light of the truth, so that you may walk in the light, follow the path of righteousness, and live the life of a righteous person. Then, when God judges this sinful world and the great tribulation comes, you may be protected in the Lord and enter the eternal life He has prepared.
Scripture
Hebrews
Chapter 11 Verses 6-7
But without faith it is impossible to please him:
for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,
and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet,
moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house;
by the which he condemned the world,
and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
Ezekiel
Chapter 14 Verses 14, 16
Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it,
they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness,
saith the Lord GOD.
Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD,
they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters;
they only shall be delivered,
but the land shall be desolate.
Revelation
Chapter 6 Verses 3-9, 12-17
And when he had opened the second seal,
I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
And there went out another horse that was red:
and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth,
and that they should kill one another:
and there was given unto him a great sword.
And when he had opened the third seal,
I heard the third beast say, Come and see.
And I beheld, and lo a black horse;
and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say,
A measure of wheat for a penny,
and three measures of barley for a penny;
and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
And when he had opened the fourth seal,
I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse:
and his name that sat on him was Death,
and Hell followed with him.
And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth,
to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death,
and with the beasts of the earth.
And when he had opened the fifth seal,
I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God,
and for the testimony which they held:
And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal,
and, lo, there was a great earthquake;
and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair,
and the moon became as blood;
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth,
even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs,
when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together;
and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men,
and the chief captains, and the mighty men,
and every bondman, and every free man,
hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
And said to the mountains and rocks,
Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne,
and from the wrath of the Lamb:
For the great day of his wrath is come;
and who shall be able to stand?
