(2025.4.6 Pray and receive the Lord’s words)

Whether they know me or not, anyone who follows evil ways and refuses to live by the truth has no share in the grace of heaven.

Examine your heart daily. Ask yourself—do I have any evil intentions? Is there anything in me that opposes God?

Anger, hatred, conflict, disruption, lying, lack of righteousness, discord, and a heart that does not love peace—none of these come from me. You must guard your heart and resist such things.

Keep your heart clean through constant self-examination. When you live this way, anything unclean is easier to notice and to remove. Your heart won’t become a hidden place for sin to accumulate, like filth buried deep where it’s hard to find and even harder to clean.

If you do not stay clean and self-controlled, but instead hide evil inside, your heart becomes a place where the devil finds comfort and settles in.

Those who live in comfort, thinking all is well, should be filled with fear and trembling.

If you do not awaken to your mistakes and confess your sins, what began as a small breach can still be repaired. But if it grows and you refuse to resist the devil, he will take over.

Your heart will change quickly—you’ll begin to show evil outwardly and become even more wicked.

If you do not stay alert at all times, the devil will devour you without warning.

Think about this: what will be the end result?

If you walk with the devil and commit the same evil acts, you will face the same end.

The price of sin—the consequence—is death.

If someone calls me Father and once knew me, are they still my child?

They were once clean, but because they chose evil and refused to repent, they became filthy again.

Can such a defiled person be worthy of honor? Can they enter a holy kingdom?

Most people fall into greater sin by starting with smaller ones.

If you do not learn to cleanse yourself, how can you escape sin?

When that happens, your spiritual life is damaged—perhaps even lost. So be on guard.

Those who honor me only outwardly with their words must be careful.

They do not obey my commands. There is no sincerity in their hearts. They do not fear me or turn from evil.

Be warned—these people are from the devil.

Do not become like them.

Discern them clearly, do not imitate them, and stay away.

Always choose to be someone who fears and loves God.

I am the God who examines the heart.

I love those who are pure, kind, and walk in integrity.

Those who follow my will even in secret, who walk the path of righteousness—I will remember them.

Love my teachings. Pursue holiness and spiritual maturity.

What you gain by walking the path to the Kingdom of Heaven in this life is eternal life.

Scripture

Psalm

Chapter 11 Verses 5-7

The Lord tests the righteous,

but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.

Let him rain coals on the wicked;

fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.

For the Lord is righteous;

he loves righteous deeds;

the upright shall behold his face.

2 Peter

Chapter 2 Verses 1-2, 4-15, 20-22

But false prophets also arose among the people,

just as there will be false teachers among you,

who will secretly bring in destructive heresies,

even denying the Master who bought them,

bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

And many will follow their sensuality,

and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed.

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned,

but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness

to be kept until the judgment;

if he did not spare the ancient world,

but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness,

with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;

if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes

he condemned them to extinction,

making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly;

and if he rescued righteous Lot,

greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked

(for as that righteous man lived among them day after day,

he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard);

then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials,

and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,

and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority.

Bold and willful,

they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones,

whereas angels, though greater in might and power,

do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord.

But these, like irrational animals,

creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed,

blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant,

will also be destroyed in their destruction,

suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing.

They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime.

They are blots and blemishes,

reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you.

They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin.

They entice unsteady souls.

They have hearts trained in greed.

Accursed children!

Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray.

They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor,

who loved gain from wrongdoing,

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world

through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

they are again entangled in them and overcome,

the last state has become worse for them than the first.

For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness

than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

What the true proverb says has happened to them:

“The dog returns to its own vomit,

and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”
